Repeated intro

Hello everyone!

changedLast September I decided to port the game from Unity to Godot, as I am very invested in this game and I want it to succeed and get out there (to you!), and during this long journey an open source engine as the "vessel" is a more reliable long-term choice. I am happy to share with you that this effort has been completed successfully. This means, I have now changed from "catch up" mode (looking back) to "moving on" (looking forward) again. And it's very refreshing.

With this post, I want to share with you the state of the development of Sigil of Kings. I have been working continuously on the project since the creation of this Steam page, and I share weekly updates on various social media (Reddit / Twitter / Mastodon / Youtube - if you are interested in regular, but more technical/design updates, follow me there).

Steam Regular Updates

I wanted to use this opportunity, and this important milestone, to create yet another milestone: posting monthly updates on Steam. I will assume that you want to hear news and updates that are interesting to players (future you!), such as design, content, features and roadmaps, rather than technical and development oriented updates.

GUI

In this first update I will share with you recent work on GUI. If you noticed, the game trailer has no GUI, as I didn't have any at the time. This is changing. I have now created and composed mockups for title screen, overworld generation screen, and continue screen, seen below:

Thank you for your support, and see you in a few weeks!
