The main purpose of this patch is to fix a lot of bugs and localization issues throughout the game. There's also a good chunk of map polish and a few new additions like Snowfoxes!
This patch also includes some bugfixes in the ending segments, but we're aware it still needs some more love. We're planning to do some major improvements to the ending with the next update, along with some other nice improvements.
But without further ado!
Patch Notes:
New Content / Features:
- Jewels / RunestoneNow has an extra secret effect which makes this jewel stronger, also got a bugfix (This was changed in one of the previous patches, but I forgot to list it!)
Pyragord: The snowy bushes are now all properly interactable
- IlldarSnowfoxes added (!)
Illdar: The totem decorations now have more variety
Bug Fixes / Adjustments:
Puzzles: Orb reflect mirrors get hit more accurately now. Additionally, the AI controlled ally can no longer hit mirrors
- JewelsEverlasting Turquoise has a new effect since it's old effect was no longer relevant after the combat changes. Jewel cost also reduced from 3 to 2
- Menus / UIFixed an issue where obtaining the cat call would make places you haven't visited visible on the map
- Localization / ChineseFixed an issue where the title text for new areas wasn't displaying on first entering a new location
Attacks: The charge-up attack frame no longer awkwardly briefly displays between rapid attacks after you get the charge attack power
Crystal Dungeon: Smoke gfx and sfx no longer play when reentering the boss room from outside
Hidden Village: The altar interact text is now "Examine" instead of "Talk"
- Final DungeonFixed a treasure chest that you could obtain without defeating the enemies that were supposed to be guarding it
- IlldarFixed an issue where you could go somewhere you shouldn't be able to and bug the game during the initial scenes here
- Secret Dungeon 2Reduced the volume of the cutscene warning sfx and the attack sound for the bouncing box enemy for better balance
- Secret Dungeon 2Adjusted a room to make it a bit more difficult to traverse
- Secret Dungeon 2 / BossFixed an issue with the hitbox lingering for too long on the attack where it drops stuff on you
- EndingFixed an issue where Rio would display the wrong animation during one of the scenes
- Ending / SoftlockAdded an extra failsafe to prevent an odd rare bug where you could end up phasing through walls and get stuck unable to progress
- EndingAdded a failsafe to make sure Rio can't end up stuck in a strange animation frame during one of the battles
- EndingFixed an issue where Rio was displaying the wrong animation frame during one of the ending scenes
- EndingAdded a failsafe for an animation issue with the player during the final battle
Script / Dialogue:
- TyposFixed several tiny typos throughout the script
- BugfixUpdated the tutorial for reviving the ally to be correct regarding the new change
- JewelsEternal Diamond description was updated to correctly describe how it works since the combat changes
Localization: "Yes / No" in the shops now translates correctly
Localization: " points!" in the fishing minigame (when catching a fish) now translates correctly
Localization: Several NPC names in Galadine now translate correctly (Nobleman, Homesick Nobleman, Young Boy, Young Girl, Scared Girl)
Localization: An NPC name in Yuril now translates correctly (Linda's Husband)
- Localization / ChineseFixed the missing translations for the difficulty option in the menu, and updated a number of other lines to be more accurate with the current version of the game
- Localization / ChineseFixed a few NPC lines in Galadine where the text went out of bounds of the text box
Localization / Secret Dungeon 2: Correct name now displays during the dungeon activation event and boss event
Crystal Dungeon: The boss name no longer appears in the dialogue until you actually know their name
- GaladinePurple and Blue engineer dialogue was mistakenly swapped, now it is fixed
Mapping:
- Yuril OverworldFixed an issue on the beach where you could create a wind bridge over the water
- Yuril OverworldIn the room left of town, fixed some tiling errors, a bugged wind bridge interaction that could lead out of bounds, and allowed traversal of a bit more of the upper elevation. And fixed a couple other small issues with the room
- Yuril SpringFixed a couple potential out of bounds when using wind magic
Dungeon / Tunnel: Some improvements to layering, occlusions, collisions and shadows throughout the dungeon
- SiltensFixed a couple possible out of bounds with wind bridges
Galadine Overworld: Layering fixes with some fences
Galadine: tweaks for better wind bridge interactions with the stairs
- EndingFixed a mistake where a character was appearing at the top right of one of the rooms
- Secret Dungeon 2Fixed a room where wind bridges could cause a softlock
- Secret Dungeon 2Fixed a few collisions in the second room
Balance:
Level ups: Defeating an enemy more than 4 levels above your level no longer caps EXP gain (better exp)
