Shrine's Legacy changes
This is a small follow-up patch for v1.1.0 (Combat Update). It has some further improvements and fixes to the new dodge controls, along with some other nice fixes, tweaks, and balance improvements.
But perhaps most importantly, slick new graphics for dodging! 😀
Patch Notes:
Combat / Movement Mechanics:
Added new graphics for the dodge!
Backwards dodging is now possible again by pressing dash with no direction pressed
Fixed an issue where you weren't able to cancel your dash skid animation into a new dash or dodge
Fixed an issue where the buffering / endlag on dash attack wasn't working as intended
Fixed an issue where holding the dash button without moving after an attack would cause a small movement after the attack finished
Fixed a bug where dodging would fail to activate if you pressed dash while turning into a new direction during a dash
You can string dodges together a bit quicker now (good for traversal)
Fixed an issue where attacking during dodge skid while holding dash would do a normal attack instead of a dash attack
Bug Fixes / Adjustments:
Fixed a new bug with certain terrains like sand whirlpools and beds temporarily locking your facing
Made sure dodges don't accidentally happen instead of dashes during cutscenes, which could potentially mess up positioning of characters
Fixed any potential issues with dodges that happen automatically during cutscenes
Fixed a new issue where you could revive your (now invisible) ally during a dummy battle
Owl enemies no longer target you if you aren't on the same layer as them
- DialogueUpdated Reima's tutorial dialogue for the light spell to be more accurate with the new changes
- DialogueSlightly adjusted a portrait and a dialogue line
Mapping:
Galadine Overworld: Some small mapping fixes in 1 room
Belkhar Overworld: Small mapping fix in 1 room
Omdale Overworld: Small mapping fixes in 1 room
Balance:
Enemies: Many enemies and some bosses throughout the game now have slightly smaller touch hitboxes to make colliding into them and taking damage feel more fair
- EnemiesBalance and aggression of some mid-game enemies adjusted to be more challenging with the new mechanics
- EnemiesPrawna now take reduced damage from physical attacks
Crystal Dungeon: Genie and boss mirrors now have low HP and extreme defense (die in 4 hits)
Moglore / Dungeon: Made the miniboss a little bit easier. Spectrails now take slightly longer to eat the flames, and spawn a bit slower
- Light / WaterLowered effect duration since now you don't lose duration when hitting enemies
