Shorekeeper changes
Thank you so much to everyone who has played the demo and shared their feedback so far. With Steam Next Fest starting, I’ve put together a larger update to make your gameplay smoother and introduce some highly requested features to the island.
Here is what is new in this version:
New Features:
- New Mine AreaAdded a brand new underground mine subworld where you can gather valuable ores.
Forge Furnace: You can now build a forge to smelt your mined ores into usable ingots.
- RampsAdded craftable ramps, allowing you to climb up and explore the higher cliff areas.
- New MaterialsIntroduced several new resources to gather and craft, including bricks, wood planks, and iron, copper, and gold (both ores and ingots).
Improvements & Polish:
Revamped Crafting: Crafting is now much smoother. Selecting a recipe will automatically fill the crafting grid with the required materials from your inventory.
- Minimap ToggleAdded an option in the display settings to turn the minimap visibility on or off.
Inventory Animations: Crafted items now play a neat little animation when they are placed into your inventory slots.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where resources you collected before receiving a mission wouldn't count toward that mission's progress.
Fixed the hoe tool so it can no longer till invalid ground surfaces like sand, cave floors, or wooden bridges.
Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented newly unlocked recipes from saving correctly.
