addedIt’s been about a month since the last update, and I’ve been working hard behind the scenes on some major additions (stay tuned for those!) Before rolling out the big stuff, I wanted to drop a fresh update to smooth out the experience, fix some bugs, and introduce a few new mechanics to make survival feel a bit more organic.
addedHere is what’s new in Demo v0.6.2:
addedNew Features & Mechanics
addedNew Tool - The Sickle: Tired of picking grass slowly? Grab the new Sickle tool to cut grass much faster!
changedCharacter Silhouette: You will no longer disappear when walking behind walls or tall objects. A visual silhouette will now keep you visible at all times.
addedTime Scale Option: I’ve added a new setting to adjust the in-game time scale so you can play at your own pace.

Before rolling out the big stuff, I wanted to drop a fresh update to smooth out the experience, fix some bugs, and introduce a few new mechanics to make survival feel a bit more organic.

Here is what’s new in Demo v0.6.2:

New Features & Mechanics

  • New Tool - The SickleTired of picking grass slowly? Grab the new Sickle tool to cut grass much faster!
  • Character Silhouette: You will no longer disappear when walking behind walls or tall objects. A visual silhouette will now keep you visible at all times.

  • Tool Requirements: Gathering certain resources (like ores in the mines) now strictly requires the correct tool.

  • Late Night Rules: Don't ignore your bedtime! Staying awake late into the night now drains your energy 2x faster.

  • Passing Out: If you pass out from combat or drowning, you will wake up safe but exhausted, temporarily losing 30% of your maximum energy.

Quality of Life & Balancing

  • Time Scale OptionI’ve added a new setting to adjust the in-game time scale so you can play at your own pace.
  • Time UI: The in-game clock now updates in 10-minute intervals to reduce visual distraction.

  • Buffed DurabilityAdjusted tool durabilities, your tools will now last much longer before breaking!
  • Mining TweaksAdjusted the hit counts and drop rates for ore sources to make mining feel more balanced and rewarding.
  • Economy Tweaks: Rebalanced the sell prices for various items.

  • Camera PresetsUpdated the gameplay camera zoom presets for better viewing angles.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where moving a tool between inventory slots would instantly reduce its durability to zero.

  • Fixed an issue where already-crafted tools weren’t being counted toward active missions.

  • Fixed interaction prompts disappearing during your second (or later) runs in the same game session.

  • Fixed the tutorial overlay getting stuck on top of the main menu.

  • Fixed tutorial tooltips not positioning correctly across different screen resolutions and aspect ratios.

As always, thank you so much for playing the demo and sharing your feedback with me. I can't wait to share the next major features with you soon!

Cheers,

Gullfrazie Games
