What Is Our Takeaway?
This shorter playtest was meant to evaluate the general direction our newly developed content was headed into - the endgame loop, the Invoker, Titan's Folly. We are quite happy with the results and are more confident than ever that this "traditional ARPG" power fantasy and game loop is indeed viable - both from a first person perspective and in an extraction context.
What's Next?
We've been running playtests in quick succession from one another for a while now, but our next iteration will take a while longer to develop. Here is what we'll be working on in the following months:
Skill Trees - one for each class, branching out into different specializations, vastly diversifying the ways to play and introducing new passive and active skills for everyone.
The First 10-Player Raid - you'll finally get to fight the Chromatic Abomination everyone is always asking about.
The Judgement fo the Titaness - a tower defense-like event within Titan's Folly, a sibling event to the Cursed Forge.
The Chromatic Trials - a coliseum-style roguelike gamemode that's part of the endgame loop.
The Immortal of Justice - the second summonable boss that resides within Titan's Folly.
And of course, that’s just the new content. We’ve still got a mountain of work ahead on balancing, polish, and bug fixes - and that’ll take up a good chunk of our time as well.
Thanks again for playing, sharing your feedback, and being part of this journey! ːsteamhappyː
