changed🪝New Class - The InvokerInvokers bring with them FLAILS AND CHAINMAIL ARMOR , allowing them to stay relatively mobile and position themselves strategically within the battlefield without compromising too much protection.
added🗺️New Biome - Titan's FollyTITAN'S FOLLY is now playable! You'll find new enemies with entirely new attack patterns and their own resistances and weaknesses within the land of the fallen titans.

🪝New Class - The Invoker

  • THE INVOKER arrives from the harsh North, drawn by whispers of glory within the Tower. Masters of afflictions, Invokers twist ailments to both bolster allies and unravel enemies.

  • Invokers bring with them FLAILS AND CHAINMAIL ARMOR, allowing them to stay relatively mobile and position themselves strategically within the battlefield without compromising too much protection.

🗺️New Biome - Titan's Folly

  • TITAN'S FOLLY is now playable! You'll find new enemies with entirely new attack patterns and their own resistances and weaknesses within the land of the fallen titans.

  • For this playtest, matchmaking will randomly place you in Titan’s Folly or The Monastery (50/50 split with 3 map variants per biome). This is a temporary setup while we evaluate the impact of map randomness. Let us know what you think.

👹The First Boss - Immortal of Devotion

  • The first SUMMONABLE BOSS can be found within the halls of the Monastery (and, for now, within Titan's Folly as well while we finish its own summonable boss).

  • THE CHROMATIST ORDER, having spread its presence all throughout the Tower and having been responsible for over 65% of the defeated minions of The Archmage in Goldwheat's last expedition, has made itself a target. THE IMMORTAL OF DEVOTION has been summoned to wipe out all devouts from His dominion.

    • The Tower slowly corrupts those that ascend it, no matter whether they seek to attain power or to banish the Tower. The strongest beings who fall to the corruption are assimilated by the Tower and turned into one of the Archmage’s **Immortals**.

    • Immortals embody a twisted version of the corrupted being’s original ideals, often spreading them to servants of the Tower under their command.

    • They function as gatekeepers to the Tower’s deeper realms and powers. The Tower uses them to ensure that only those worthy and thoroughly corrupted - those who are already claimed or in the process of being so - may proceed.

    • You may consider defeating THE IMMORTAL OF DEVOTION the most notable feat for this playtest, but know that summonable bosses represent just the beginning of the endgame we have planned ahead.

🗼The Beginning of the End(game)

  • With this playtest, we seek to test out the very early stages of the players' endgame loop - that is to say, the gameplay loop that happens beyond Prismatic difficulty.

  • The Cursed Forge and Lairs have been revamped to adequately represent the first couple of steps players take in order to gear up to face challenges beyond the Prismatic difficulty.

  • Our aforementioned first summonable boss has been introduced as the midway step between those two activities and the upcoming 10-player raids.

  • Legendary and Unique gear, lustrous runes and item socketing have been "redistributed" with these new activities in mind.

  • While players may farm the necessary resources from just Lairs and The Cursed Forge for now, we will introduce two new activities to this phase of the endgame loop in the near future:

    • The Chromatic Trials - a high-intensity coliseum gamemode for parties of 3 that rewards maximizing your team's combat performance. This will be a separate gamemode like Lairs.

    • The Judgment of the Titaness - a tower-defense style event within Titan's Folly that will reward players looking to take their skill tree to the next level. You may think of this as a "sibling activity" to the Cursed Forge.

This playtest will go from June 20th to June 22nd (Friday through Sunday). Drop and crafting rates will be modified to account for the limited playtime, but we still expect getting to the endgame to be a challenge.
