State of the Game

Yeah, Sehoni Island is still in development. One of my big goals to get into the game before launching my demo was: Controler Use for the game and being able to play with a controller. This really sounds not SO hard...

What changed

1 fix1 addition2 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Gameplay
changedThis really sounds not SO hard... but there is SO MUCH stuff you need to consider when you started the UI with just a Keyboard and Mouse mindset so it took me quite some time to get the controller stuff done... but right now, today, i finished my last task for controller control.
changedYeah still no demo out there, but a big step toward it. I sill need to fix some bugs and finish the storyline for the demo, so you can get a small gameplay experience from it.
fixedWhat i did in all the time: - Creating a vituall Keyboard for controller use - Adding Silhouettes when you cross behind somethin like a building or trees - Move Princess toward the counter, so you can talk with her without intruding her private space - Fix the benches and stuff to not sometimes warp you into the void (yeah again, i somehow overlooked some warping abiliities the last time) - Getting collissions back in the game... they where somehow lost so you could walk straight through trees, and walls and... - fixing some entrances so you really land what building you entered (weird experience to enter the inn and end up on the other side of the island) - fixing the sound of the chopping, wich was awefully off - adding a Typing sound for dialogues and adding a player setting option to deactivate it - adding user settings to set sound volumes - adding some background music - changed to 4.3 and so i needed to change some inner programming stuff for the use of TileMapLayers (year thats a godot thing) - corrected some z-index so you won't walk over trees - you can now interact with your tamed monsters again... wich somehow was lost somehow - Working on steam integration and adding some Demo-Achievements and finally: - finishing controller support for now, i think you can now play all parts of the game with a controller and without using mouse or keyboard... yeah still a ton of bugs in there probably...
addedRight now i'm working on some more bugfixing and a rework of the steam-capsule design. I want a good one when launching the demo and finally adding more stuff to the game for the main storyline
