Development Update

Since the release of the Roadmap, development has been going very well and I want to give you an update about the current state of the game.

changedFeature-CompleteSpeed Running features The game tracks your playtime (excluding loading screens) and there is a display which shows the playtimes for all the mile stone maps.
changedFeature-CompleteHardcore Mode You start with 20 Health and at the end of a battle, your health is carried over to the next battle. This means you have only one health pool. Health can be restored by earning stars. The progress of a dead player is saved and can be seen at the graveyard. I did not really play this mode yet so very experimental as of now. If the mode does not really work, i might scrap it.
addedFeature-CompleteRelic System Find Relics throughout the world of Magonia. Each Relic can be dropped in three different maps. There are a total of 32 Relics as of now. Once a Relic is found, it can be "activated" with a Relic Orb, which can be obtained from a Quest reward. 6 Relic orbs will be obtainable in total. E.g. Relics: One Relic allows the arrows of the Archer towers to pierce enemies. Another one lets the Lightning Network generate Gold each round, depending on its size.

Since the release of the Roadmap, development has been going very well and I want to give you an update about the current state of the game. Everything presented in the roadmap will be released in one bigger Update instead of multiple smaller ones. I am sorry if i induced the impression for an earlier Update, that was my initial plan, but it makes no sense from an efficiency standpoint. It will also be a much better player experience, instead of smaller pieces there will be quite a substantial content update. The downside is, it will still take quite some time until everything is finished and playtested.

Here a quick overview of the progress so far, excluding many smaller changes.

Feature-Complete

  • Speed Running features

    The game tracks your playtime (excluding loading screens) and there is a display which shows the playtimes for all the mile stone maps.

  • Hardcore Mode

  • Two rows of Specialization Skills for each base Tower (3 per base tower)

  • Abandoned Trail (Map)

  • Bridgeway (Map)

  • Mountain Retreat (Map)

  • Frozen River (Map)

  • Burn DoT (similar to poison)

  • New Bonfire modifiers which strengthen the additional enemies

    E.g. Spiders can lay eggs, Tanks share some of the damage, Slimes explode upon death

  • Quests with time limit

    Complete the map within a given time window, bar represents the remaining time in-game

Work in Progress

  • City of Magonia (Map)

  • Arena of Magonia (Map)

  • Set Items

    If you have two items of the same set in your inventory, they get a setbonus. Its still a bit open how i will design this, but it goes in this direction.

  • General Skills

  • New Spell Upgrades

  • Playtesting

Probably not included in the next Update

  • New Tower

  • New Camp Locations

Crashes

Some players report to me that the game crashes for them. Unfortunately i could not yet reproduce any crash which makes it quite difficult to fix. I changed some stuff where i suspected that it could lead to a crash, but to be honest i am fishing a bit in the dark. If the game is still unplayable, and i am not able to fix it, you can reach out to me and i try to help you with a refund.
