Rural changes
I’ve added a new system that brings more depth to animal care and progression: the Livestock Weight System.
Each domestic animal now has its own weight, which changes over time depending on how well it’s fed. Every time an animal eats, it gains weight, making feeding an important part of efficiently raising livestock.
There is a weight increase value and a maximum weight value that are unique for each species, shaping how animals grow over their lifetime.
This also means that if you don’t feed your animals, they won’t gain weight.
You can now also use a “Show Weight” action when clicking on a livestock animal, allowing you to check its current weight at any time.
Livestock Currently, livestock includes:
Chickens
Rabbits
Pigs
Cows
White sheep
Black sheep
Each of them also has their corresponding babies.
The horse and dog are not considered livestock, as they have their own unique interactions and associated actions.
Weight now directly impacts food production 🍖. When an animal is sacrificed, the amount of meat you receive is proportional to its weight, rewarding players who take proper care of their livestock.
Overall, this system ties animal care more closely to resource management and long-term planning.
