Runika: A World of Little Legends changes
The Wealdheim update has made it possible to leave the Runika map by entering buildings for the first time. Some objects were not yet designed for this and therefore always started growing from zero. This also happened if you moved too far away from your farm, for example. This update finally brings almost all remaining growth objects to the new system. As always, I have included many more things in this update package. Have fun exploring!
New objects
Rumor has it that Jabbar now has an oversized red witch hat on offer.
You can now craft a stone stool at the crafting table.
You can now create new storage crates at the various crafting tables, which also have different storage capacities.
There are new mushrooms called Bloodcap. These are displayed with the previous mushroom image. Regular mushrooms now have a new image.
Bloodcaps can be planted via the new mycelium called Bloodroot.
Bloodcaps are not edible without first being grilled on a campfire.
New features
Special raw material sources can now respawn regularly. This applies to large sources of coal, gold, iron, copper and stone. The raw material sources for copper and stone are new additions. All other sources can also respawn in existing maps.
You can now sit on stools and benches. All you have to do is interact with the seat. You can use the direction arrows to change your viewing direction, change position on a bench or stand up again.
All storage crates now have three new QoL features. You can use a button to transfer all resources from your inventory to the crate that are already stored there. You can also replenish the resources in your inventory from the crate and crates can now be sorted automatically.
Baby animals now use the new growth system. This means that they no longer start growing again every time they are reloaded. When you return to your farm after some time, the growth will now be recalculated correctly.
Fruits and beehives on trees now also use the new growth system and therefore no longer respawn when leaving buildings.
Graphics
Small color improvements to some tools.
The item tooltip no longer overlaps the last field of the quick-inventory.
Your character now has two new animations (panic and confusion), which can appear in certain situations or conversations.
Bees now have a new graphic.
The durability of objects is now always clearly displayed in white.
Wealdheim
There are now more villagers you can talk to in Wealdheim.
The Wealdheim Theater is now better lit when you go to the hammer contest at night.
The street lamps on the Wealdheim Market could be removed.
Pigeons will now fly away when you approach them. However, they may return after a while.
The Rift
The lost mushroom path has been improved with special mushrooms. These contract and block paths, or open up to reveal new paths.
The rift fog has been graphically adapted to the retro style of the magic floors and recolored.
Better player guidance to the path to Runika through new street lamps.
You can now find Mycelium and a Bone Club in the Rift.
Customizations
You can now pick up objects directly in front of your character when you click further away with the mouse.
Different storage crates now have different storage capacities.
You can now also use shelves and cupboards to store items.
If you move away from a door without entering the house, the door will now be closed again.
Some plants and seedlings had too short growth times, which is why these have now been extended.
The growth penalty for non-irrigated plants has been reduced from 4x to 3x.
Mushrooms can now be planted on farmland and receive the growth bonus of irrigated farmland accordingly. In addition, mushrooms now only grow at night unless they are planted around a tree.
Recipes that use Mushrooms and Bloodcaps have been adjusted accordingly.
Ravens now leave at least one feather.
If you want to place an item when there is no room for it, another interaction action will no longer be performed instead (such as picking something up).
Damaged beehives are restored at different rates at different times of day.
The wooden spear no longer requires a rope to be crafted earlier.
Performance
The performance for ground detection of actors has been improved and is now practically independent of how many actors are active at the same time.
Bugfixes
When digging holes, it could happen that the floor could no longer be changed.
Carpets in NPC houses could be mined with tools.
Random generated guideposts no longer had texts.
Some areas in Wealdheim were sometimes created on cliffs.
The flower radius for trees to generate beehives was calculated too small.
Known bugs
Sometimes cliffs are not displayed correctly.
Coming soon
New Rift Guardian bosses and enemies.
