Hi all,
This update includes a brand new ability to the game, as well as a continuation of the 'Visibility Beacon' I added, but never fully implemented efficiently. Along with this, I'm testing out new HUD styles to make it more tailored to RM's ability icon colour palette. Bare with me while I try to find a sweet spot.
New Ability: Jump Drive
Introducing 'Jump Drive', an ability which allows you to teleport to your mouse position, once every 25 seconds. Use this as a fail safe if you get cornered by normal asteroids, or even bosses.
New Ability: Visibility Beacon 2.0
The visibility beacon was dropped into the game a few updates ago, with no in-game prompt or full implementation of it. Now with Patch #21, there is an in-game icon for it, as well as the ability added to the "Defensive" category in the Tutorial. Toggle the beacon to gain night vision, with the loss of engine speed.
