Hey Guardians,

We know some of you are experiencing a black screen when launching the game. We're working on a permanent fix for it right now, but in the meantime, we have some potential temporary fixes that might work for you! Changing your default VR runtime typically fixes this - instructions below!

These guidelines are headset-specific, so find your headset and follow the instructions for each:

  • For Meta Quest using Link - Make sure Meta Quest Link is set as the default OpenXR runtime in the Meta Quest Link app. (Settings > General > Open XR Runtime)

  • For Valve Index, set SteamVR as your active OpenXR runtime. (Steam VR > Settings > Open XR)

  • For 3rd party apps like Virtual Desktop or Steam Link, use those runtimes as default.

Overall, just make sure that you're using the best runtime for your headset!

We'll update with a permanent fix soon, but we know those robots aren't going to explode themselves.
