Restoration: Chronicles of Survival changes
Restoration 1.0 — The Great Restoration
After my time in Early Access, Restoration: Chronicles of Survival leaves the workshop and steps into 1.0. This is not a patch — it is a rebuild. I took your feedback, tore the game down to its strongest idea, and rebuilt it into a focused, endless idle-RPG: a town that earns while you sleep, a hero who raids for loot, and a power curve with no ceiling. And every bit of your Early Access progress comes with you. Welcome to the full game.
📜 Why a rebuild?
Early Access taught me which parts of Restoration people actually loved — the idle economy and the hunt for the next upgrade — and which parts spread the game too thin. So I committed to one clear fantasy and cut everything that fought it. The result is leaner, deeper, and built to be played for months, not minutes.
⚙️ One Clear Core Loop
Every system now feeds a single, readable loop:
Idle Economy — your buildings produce resources around the clock, online and offline. This is the fuel for everything else.
Raids & Combat — send your hero into auto-battles against ever-deeper tiers of enemies for loot and experience.
Gear & Character — equip drops, grow your hero, and use that power to clear deeper raids for even better loot.
Prestige & Paragon — when you are ready, reset the economy for a permanent, forever-compounding multiplier.
Honest idle, always. The game plays itself — buildings produce and raids run whether you are watching or not. Active play only speeds things up. It never throttles you, and it never demands you stay.
🗺️ "The Path" — Always Know What's Next
A brand-new feature with its own button right next to Character. The Path is your goal ladder: it always shows the next few milestones along the core loop, auto-claims their rewards, and never runs out — after the hand-crafted chapters it continues procedurally, forever. Better still, early steps gently teach the game by unlocking systems as you go:
Win your first raid → unlock Classes.
Activate your first set bonus → unlock Loadout Mods.
Reach your first prestige → unlock Paragon.
New players get a guided on-ramp; veterans get an endless carrot.
🛡️ Your Hero, Classes & Combat
One hero, twelve gear slots. Stats come from your level, class and equipped items.
Four classes — Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, Mage — each with stat modifiers and a unique 4-ability combat kit. Your first class choice is free.
Semi-active combat. Fights run on auto, but you can tap your class abilities for an edge. Martial abilities run on cooldowns; casters also spend mana, which regenerates mid-fight. Time your abilities into soft combo windows for extra damage — or just leave it on auto.
💎 Endless Loot & Gear
Item Level scales with raid depth — clear deeper tiers, drop stronger gear. There is always a better piece out there.
Rarity, random affixes and item sets — chase the perfect roll. Wearing multiple pieces of a set grants set bonuses, some of which trigger powerful combat effects.
A drop can always beat your current gear, which keeps every raid worth running.
🏪 Market 2.0 — A Living Economy
The old fixed-price trades are gone. The Market is now a dynamic exchange:
Every resource has a live price that swings over time. Sell when it's high, buy when it's low.
Supply matters — flooding the market with a big sale temporarily pushes the price down.
A rotating set of special offers refreshes alongside the exchange.
Your prestige trade perks finally feed real buy-discount and sell-bonus bonuses.
🔄 Infinite Prestige + Paragon
No prestige ceiling. Past the authored levels, prestige continues procedurally and the multiplier keeps compounding — forever.
Paragon unlocks after your first prestige: an endless layer of small, infinitely-scaling bonuses that soaks up every spare prestige point you will ever earn.
Prestige resets your economy but keeps your hero, gear, skills, prestige points and paragon.
🔥 Uncapped Combo
Tapping green target cells builds a combo for bonus gold — and the streak no longer has a limit. Push it as high as you can; the skill-point milestones it grants now continue forever too.
🏆 50 Brand-New Achievements
A completely fresh, streamlined set of 50 achievements spanning the whole game — wealth, buildings, raids, skills, prestige, combo and dedication. Each grants skill points or ancient blueprints, and they are wired for Steam achievement support.
⭐ Deep Skill Tree
Spend skill points on permanent upgrades to gold, production, combat, loot and more. Earn points from gold milestones, combo streaks, achievements and The Path — there is always another point on the way, and the right perks let skill levels survive prestige.
🎨 A Total Visual Overhaul
Every building re-rendered in a cohesive low-poly 3D style.
Every skill redrawn as a radiant arcane emblem.
Hundreds of UI, resource and item icons regenerated and unified into one look.
Smooth anti-aliasing applied across all art for a crisp, consistent presentation.
A note on what's AI: the art (buildings, skill emblems, icons) was AI-generated and then hand-curated and integrated, and the 7 non-English translations were done with AI. Everything else — the design, code, writing and balance — I made by hand.
🌍 Eight Fully-Supported Languages
English, Russian, German, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French — including a fully rebuilt in-game Help section that now accurately teaches the new game from the ground up.
🧹 Streamlined: What I Removed
To keep Restoration focused, several Early-Access systems were retired:
Guilds and the online backend — Restoration is now a pure single-player experience with no servers between you and the game.
The season / calendar system and the background-town simulation.
Faith, Chaos and the Energy resource — and with Energy goes the session limit. There is no energy bar, ever; play as long or as little as you like.
🐛 Under the Hood
Rebuilt the entire popup / screen framework into clean, modern scenes.
Rewrote the in-game Help to match the new game.
Fixed dozens of bugs, including combo milestone rewards, equipment slot handling, prestige tree icons, and number formatting at extreme values.
Performance and stability passes throughout.
💾 Your Save Is Safe
This is the part I sweated over most. Restoration performs a seamless, one-way migration from any previous version the moment you load. Your gold, prestige levels, skill points, character, class, gear and full inventory all carry over — only the removed systems are quietly cleaned up. I tested the migration against real saves from v1.0.0, v2.0.0 and the current build; everything important survives.
Restoration 1.0 is the foundation for an endless numbers-go-up RPG. There is always a next tier of raid, a better roll of gear, a higher prestige to chase. Thank you for being part of the journey through Early Access — now go restore the world.
