changedAs mentioned in Devlog #3, my current goal is to refine Area 1 into a fully playable state. This month, to make the gameplay feel even more rewarding and responsive, I focused on polishing the Shop UI—the very first interface players interact with—and enhancing the Item Drop effects!
added🏬 Shop UI ImprovementsIn Reficia, where building unique character builds is a core element, the Shop plays a crucial role. It’s where you turn unused loot into gold to buy equipment that fits your build. To make interacting with the Shop genuinely fun and engaging, we added various new animations and sound effects!
changed🏬 Shop UI ImprovementsAlong with these improvements, I’ve created a showcase video where the storekeeper, Dwarf-chan, introduces the Shop UI. Cute, reliable, and completely outspoken, Dwarf-chan gives us a tour with her unfiltered commentary! Be sure to check out the video!
added💰 Enhancing Item Drop EffectsIn Reficia, you'll fight your way through enemies using items dropped in various rarities. To make looting feel even more exciting, we’ve added unique sound effects and updated the particle colors for each rarity level!
changed💰 Enhancing Item Drop EffectsActually, item drop sound effects have been something I've wanted to obsess over since I first started game development. I still vividly remember playing an old MMO called "Seal Online," where I would grind endlessly just to hear that specific, satisfying item drop sound. While Reficia isn't a game where you grind for hours on end, I really wanted to deliver that same pure rush of joy when a rare item drops!
changed📝 What’s Next?In my next progress report, I plan to show off the polished Equipment and Ability screens, which are just as central to the game as the Shop. I'm going all out to make these screens clear, intuitive, and satisfying to use!

🏬 Shop UI Improvements

In Reficia, where building unique character builds is a core element, the Shop plays a crucial role. It’s where you turn unused loot into gold to buy equipment that fits your build. To make interacting with the Shop genuinely fun and engaging, we added various new animations and sound effects!

💰 Enhancing Item Drop Effects

In Reficia, you'll fight your way through enemies using items dropped in various rarities. To make looting feel even more exciting, we’ve added unique sound effects and updated the particle colors for each rarity level!

Actually, item drop sound effects have been something I've wanted to obsess over since I first started game development. While Reficia isn't a game where you grind for hours on end, I really wanted to deliver that same pure rush of joy when a rare item drops!

📝 What’s Next?

In my next progress report, I plan to show off the polished Equipment and Ability screens, which are just as central to the game as the Shop. I'm going all out to make these screens clear, intuitive, and satisfying to use!

I am moving forward step-by-step toward completion. It would be incredibly encouraging if you could add the game to your Wishlist and keep an eye on our progress!

Until next time!
