Reficia: The WonderLog changes
Hi everyone, I’m the developer, Rurukel. I’m thrilled to finally announce the launch of the Steam store page for my solo 2.5D Action RPG project,"Reficia: The Wonderlog."
This game is an Action RPG that captures the pure joy of character progression, featuring the snappy combat reminiscent of 2000s-era MMORPGs.
■ Focus 1: Pure "Skill-Based" Progression
In Reficia, there’s no such thing as a "Player Level." Instead, your individual skills and stats themselves are the subjects of growth. Swing a sword to improve your sword technique; take hits or exert effort to see your core stats rise in real-time. It’s a system where your specific playstyle directly shapes your character’s physical and technical identity. I want players to experience the visceral satisfaction of seeing their character evolve through every action.
■ Focus 2: Fluid Action & High-Speed Growth
As a 2.5D Action RPG, responsive controls and game tempo are my top priorities. The combat is crisp and snappy, and every single move you make translates into real-time skill and stat gains. I’ve balanced the game to encourage a fast-paced cycle of experimentation: "I want to level up that skill next, so I’ll try this combat style now." The more you play, the more the character feels like an extension of yourself.
■ Current Development Status
I’m currently pouring everything into the first boss encounter. The goal is a boss fight where your chosen build dictates your strategy. Whether you go for a high-damage glass cannon, a tanky bruiser, or a hybrid caster, I’m fine-tuning the AI and mechanics to ensure every style feels rewarding. I’ll be sharing a gameplay video of this boss battle very soon—stay tuned!
■ Roadmap & Release Schedule
Since this is a solo project, I’m aiming for a full release in about two years. My immediate milestone is a playable prototype of Stage 1! I want to get this into your hands, gather feedback, and polish the experience together. I'm aiming for a 2026 release for the prototype, so keep an eye out.
