πŸ—‘οΈ Devlog #3 β€” Weapon Armory & Boss Raid

1 day until launch Β· May 19

Hello, this is the developer.

Last time we covered Hidden Awakenings β€” the fusions you discover mid-run.

This is the final devlog before launch, so let's cover the two things that frame an entire run: where your discoveries go, and what you're climbing toward.

━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ—‘οΈ The Armory

Every weapon you unlock lives in the Armory.

You start with one. By the end, there are 32 β€” swords, daggers, two-handers, and the trees that come with them. Each one changes how a run opens, which Awakenings show up, and which builds are even possible.

The Armory isn't a shop. It's a record of what you've found.

━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ”“ How weapons unlock

Here's the part that ties it all together.

You don't buy weapons β€” you earn them two ways:

  1. Discover a Hidden Awakening for the first time β†’ the next weapon unlocks.

  2. Defeat the final boss and see a weapon's ending β†’ the next weapon unlocks.

One rewards discovery mid-run. The other rewards seeing a build all the way through. Either way, the thing you do in a run becomes a permanent option for every run after.

So a run is never just a run. Even a failed one can leave you with progress you didn't have an hour ago.

━━━━━━━━━━

βš”οΈ Boss & Raid

While the Armory grows between runs, the Raid is what you climb during one.

20 boss stages. Each boss has its own patterns and weak points β€” even in a game where the blade fights on its own, a boss is the moment you lean in, position carefully, and watch the build you've assembled get tested.

Clear a stage, move up. The deeper you go, the more the run demands of your build.

━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ‘οΈ And one more at the top

Reach the end of the Raid, and there's one final boss waiting β€” a hidden one.

No hints on this devlog. You'll know it when you get there.

━━━━━━━━━━

πŸ“… What's Next

That's everything.

Tomorrow β€” May 19, 1:00 AM KST β€” Re:Blade launches.

60 Awakening effects. 32 Hidden fusions. 32 weapons. 20 boss stages and one secret.

Thank you for following along through these devlogs. See you at launch.
