Radical Zomboarding changes
It's my favorite time of the year: October! Which means it's time for ghosts, mummies, werewolves, all those things that go bump in the night and, of course, zombies!
As always, thank you all once again for taking the time to play the demo for Radical Zomboarding. I've made some changes directly from your feedback, so I hope you enjoy them!
Here's the changelog for 10-01-25 (ver. 1.7.8+51edc18921):
Additions:
Added tighter turn handling for improved responsiveness.
Added expressions to characters! They'll now show a variety of expressions depending on what's going on around them.
Added warning flash + SFX when the timer drops below 10 seconds.
Added better braking controls for smoother stops.
Added UI sound effects across all menus: main menu, shop, pause menu, and progression shop.
Added visual + audio feedback when using certain perks (i.e. explosive landing and rocket boots).
Added stinger + trick sound effects when performing fresh tricks.
Added new visual effects to tricks for extra flair.
Added grind balancing and scoring. Hold steady and earn points or you'll bail!
Added rail landing assist to slightly help you land on rails.
Added more billboards to Alpine Park in case you miss the first one.
Added more loading screen tips.
Added Keepin' it Fresh perk back into the perk shop: Fresh short tricks add 0.5 mult, fresh medium tricks add 1 mult
Added a reminder to go to the shop and buy characters and cosmetics if you return to the main menu and can afford something but haven't bought something yet
Fixes:
Fixed an infinite boost exploit while tricking.
Fixed an issue where shotguns and certain hats would look incorrect when used with the Wacky Tube Guy character.
Fixed exploding jump and explosive landing effects not triggering correctly.
Fixed boost button missing from the loading screen for keyboard players.
Fixed an issue where the trick name UI could potentially overlap other UI elements.
Fixed a bug where you could load the same level multiple times during level loads.
Fixed D-pad not responding in the shop and various other UIs.
Fixed grind particles continuing while dead.
Fixed various audio volume balancing.
Changes:
Zombies now randomly spawn on the Bunny Slope.
Chill Grind perk now makes it so you don't have to balance grinds instead of pausing the timer.
Adjusted character and cosmetic prices for better progression.
Bail time reduced from 6 seconds to 3 seconds.
All tricks are now faster to execute.
Boost and grab buttons can now be rebound.
You now have an option to restart when failing a run instead of returning to the menu.
Updated tutorial text for nudging and grind balancing.
Updated cash collection sound effects.
Removals:
You no longer shoot your shotgun backwards to propel yourself forwards. It was a fun effect, but this has consistently caused tons of confusion for players and has been removed. You can still nudge yourself forward, just without shooting the shotgun.
Removed Time Out perk.
Removed Hyperbolic Ass Chamber challenge.
