Update 1.0.1.4 is now live!

We have had a very busy week getting ready for release on April 7th. Our target this week has been to bring updated visual systems to the forefront that we've heard are problematic from multiple testers.

addedWe have had a very busy week getting ready for release on April 7th. Our target this week has been to bring updated visual systems to the forefront that we've heard are problematic from multiple testers. As such, our combat UI has gone through a complete rework to consolidate information into appropriate locations and we have added the much needed combat-side army viewer so you can see your full loadout during combat. Along with visual systems we have hit numerous balancing changes to ramp up end-game difficulties, added the crystal desert as a functional domain, added the ethereals species as playable(lacking talents currently), combat storyline dialogues, many bugfixes, and re-implemented the steam cloud save system. Extensive patch notes can be found below. Make sure to start a new expedition with this update as a lot has changed!

fixedFixed a crash that occurred when clicking a focal(scorekeeping) tile.
fixedFixed an issue where allied units would sometimes show up as key units that needed to be defeated.

Update 1.0.1.4 is now live on the main and playtesting branch!

Patch Notes:

  • Steam Cloud has been re-implemented to be functional. All of your player save objects are now stored in the cloud.

  • Crystal desert is now a functional region, however the main boss is currently set to be the Ancient Evil. The Sand dragon final boss will be included in next build.

  • Ethereals are now a playable species. Talent tree is pending.

  • Combat-side storyline has now been added! The full storyline system is still pending our expedition start and completion dialogues. These are coming soon!

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when clicking a focal(scorekeeping) tile.

  • Fixed an issue where allied units would sometimes show up as key units that needed to be defeated.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the flambearge encounter to be generated multiple times.

  • Reworked the combat resource information into a separate widget on the bottom of the screen, above the preparation bar. Mana and command points now appear here and have a unified color across the UI.

  • Fixed some inconsistencies with the ordering of mana and command points on widgets.

  • "Actions" are now a resource that have a dedicated icon visible on tooltips and throughout the UI.

  • Visually updated the selected unit ability widget and added a display for the number of actions remaining on the unit.

  • Reworked the player objectives into a separate widget at the top of the screen. The player's morale and the opponent's resource information is now visible at the top of the screen as well.

  • Updated a number of steps on the combat tutorial.

  • Added the ability to see the remaining draftable elites in combat, along with the remaining crystals, and made this widget only appear when in draft mode.

  • Fixed an issue where units changing owners during combat did not function correctly.

  • Added a button to select the next unit with an action.

  • Updated the indicator for domains that appears above the tile to flash when the enemy has control and have more visual clarity.

  • Made a number of code optimization improvements.

  • Removed the ability to reset the current combat encounter in live versions.

  • Choosing to gain mana during tile draft now gives a flat 1 mana.

  • Fixed an issue where certain units would keep trying to do an action they cannot do, causing the AI to never end their turn.

  • Updated some Expedition resource icons and colors to have unified colors across the UI.

  • Sidereal Studio splash screen has been added.

  • Ancient Evil Boss Encounter now has 4 less health across all difficulties.

  • Spell Absorbtion ability no longer heals off of ally casts. Only triggered by enemies.

  • Fixed a clipping issue on Arcane Marsh expedition map where a node was set too low.

  • Made various health buffs across older 4
