changedWith launch getting closer and closer, version 1.0.1.3 has shaped up to be the last major patch for general changes. The big news this time is that the game is now working perfectly on the Steam Deck , complete with automatic optimizations right on the first boot to make sure your experience is as smooth as possible.
changedHere is what changed:
addedTo fix this, I added an option to disable cloud sync for local settings. Now, the following preferences won't be shared across devices and will be saved individually instead:
changedResolution / Window Mode / Aspect Ratio / Graphics / VSync / Frame Skip / Show FPS
addedEnabled Controller / Default Controller Layout / Controller Deadzone
addedUI Improvement: Sub-status Legibility The default look for sub-statuses was designed to be small and unobtrusive, but we knew that on smaller screens (like the Steam Deck) or at certain resolutions, it became extremely hard to see. With that in mind, there's now a new option that moves the sub-statuses to the bottom of the screen, while also considerably scaling up the text size.

Here is what changed:

Trackpad Precision Aiming (Steam Deck) When playing on the handheld, the right trackpad now works as an alternative aiming style, delivering precision that's very close to a mouse. If you want to switch back to the standard control, just touch the right analog stick to disable the trackpad instantly.

Separating Cloud Sync Settings Switching between PC and the handheld used to be a hassle: since the game synced absolutely everything, the different resolutions and aspect ratios broke your settings every single time.

To fix this, I added an option to disable cloud sync for local settings. Now, the following preferences won't be shared across devices and will be saved individually instead:

  • Substatus Style

  • Resolution / Window Mode / Aspect Ratio / Graphics / VSync / Frame Skip / Show FPS

  • Master, Music, and Effect Volume / Mute when Out of Focus

  • KeyBinds (All) / Jump With |W| / Aim With Mouse / Lock Mouse to Windows

  • Enabled Controller / Default Controller Layout / Controller Deadzone

And even with the main development cycle reaching the home stretch... it's not done yet.
