changedHello, hello! Welcome back to another Project Regolith backer update! Two weeks ago we finally announced our full voice cast for the game - An incredible and multinational cast, with talent from The US, The UK, Australia and even Kenya! The casting process took up a LOT of our time over the past month and a bit, and it also took up a pretty hefty portion of our last 5 Devlogs.
changedThe Sounds of Outpost RheaFrom the gentle hum of ventilation units, to the whirring of machinery down the hall, when you live in deep space you get used to the cacophony of synthetic, man-made sounds that rumble throughout your home. And even though the crew have vanished, plenty of their work remains... Clunking, zapping, smashing, and rattling away...
changedThe Sounds of Outpost RheaAs we've worked on the various areas and assets we're using in the game, we've devised a comprehensive list of sounds that our amazing Composer/Sound Designer Simon Stemberger has been working on over the past months.
changedThe Sounds of Outpost RheaThose of you who've been following the project since the beginning will recognize Simon as the one behind our music, too! And speaking of music...
changedThe Project Regolith OSTWhile we're not ready to unveil any of our ambient sounds just yet, we ARE happy to (re-)share the first track of Project Regolith's OST, lovingly composed by Simon here in Melbourne!
changedThe Project Regolith OSTWe hope you enjoy the track as much as we do! And while you're listening, we'd like to set out a challenge to our communities with an OST-related reward in mind!

Hello, hello!

So much space, in fact, that it almost feels weird to not have to update you all on our progress on it anymore... Buuuuut, we can stay on the same theme this week and talk a little bit about a semi-related topic:

The Sounds of Outpost Rhea

From the gentle hum of ventilation units, to the whirring of machinery down the hall, when you live in deep space you get used to the cacophony of synthetic, man-made sounds that rumble throughout your home. And even though the crew have vanished, plenty of their work remains... Clunking, zapping, smashing, and rattling away...

As we've worked on the various areas and assets we're using in the game, we've devised a comprehensive list of sounds that our amazing Composer/Sound Designer Simon Stemberger has been working on over the past months.

Those of you who've been following the project since the beginning will recognize Simon as the one behind our music, too! And speaking of music...

The Project Regolith OST

While we're not ready to unveil any of our ambient sounds just yet, we ARE happy to (re-)share the first track of Project Regolith's OST, lovingly composed by Simon here in Melbourne!

If you'd forgotten, this is the track that currently plays in our Steam Demo, with the working title: "Hydroponics".

We hope you enjoy the track as much as we do! And while you're listening, we'd like to set out a challenge to our communities with an OST-related reward in mind!

The Challenge...

This past week we reached 100 Followers on our Twitter page! And while we're stoked to have some eyes on the game, we'd like to strive for more! But of course, this isn't a one-sided deal, we've got something in mind that'll hopefully excite you guys as much as it does us - A new track from our OST! So here's our goal...

Once we reach 200 followers on our Twitter, we'll publicly launch a NEW, NEVER-BEFORE HEARD TRACK from the Project Regolith OST! And just to show we're serious, here's a bit of a teaser...

Aaaand that's all for this week. We can't wait to share this next track with you all, so make sure to share us with friends, family, acquaintances, strangers on the street, and whoever else you can think of!
