PROHIBEAST changes
Discover the in-game interface of PROHIBEAST
Dive into the action with a HUD designed to serve your strategy. Objectives, skills and essential information integrate harmoniously to offer you a total control, without ever breaking the immersion, all illustrated in an art deco style directly inspired by the era of the Prohibition.
You will find at the bottom left, the playable characters:
The active playable character, illustrated with his artwork and name below;
The list of playable characters in the current level, selectable at any time;
At the bottom in the center, the skills and interactions available depending on the character:
The interaction button, allowing you to interact with different gameplay elements across the level;
The button to crouch/stand up;
The skills of the selected playable character, with one melee skill, one shooting skill, and two skills related to the character and its animal attributes;
At the bottom right, the tactical aids:
The Minimap of the current level, with the Zoom / Dezoom and Rotations buttons;
The Highlight button, displaying all the interactive elements in the level (objects like characters) via a colored outline around them;
The time acceleration button, maintaining it allows you to increase the speed of what is happening in the level;
The Tactical Mode activation button, allowing to slow down time to be able to plan coordinated actions with your different characters;
In the top right, the objectives of the level:
The main objectives, which must be achieved in order to complete the level;
Secondary objectives, enriching your progress and potentially influencing your end-of-level statistics;
And at the top in the center, the options:
The Menu button, pausing your game and allowing you to access the different options;
The Quick Save button, allowing at any time to perform a backup;
The Quick Load button, allowing at any time to load the last save of your game;
The Save Reminder button, configurable in the options, allowing you to remind yourself of the time elapsed since your last save. Clicking on it will also perform a quick save;
Finally, the in-game interface allows you to use all the buttons either via the keyboard keys assigned to each of them, or directly with your mouse, making your experience as accessible as possible.
This HUD overview lays the foundation for your in-game experience. In the next posts, we will detail the other elements of the interface as well as their functioning.
