Possible One: Lunar Industries changes
Hello Industrialists and Astronauts!
We have just released a new version that takes care of the thing you told us about most. The beginning of Possible One throws a great deal at you at once, a base, a crew, a supply line and a company to run, and you told us plainly that it was too much. So we went back and rebuilt some of the early missions from the ground up. Possible One now opens with a new guided start that walks you through it one piece at a time, from your first look at the lunar surface all the way to your first fulfilled contract, and new missions further along carry that guidance into the parts of the game that come after.
Built, Not Read
No wall of text, no video you sit through. The ground marks the tile, the menu offers only the building you need, and the game waits while you place your first Corridor, Habitat and Scout Bay by your own hand, on the real Moon, in the save you keep playing afterwards.
Room to Learn
Hunger, stress and crew rotation stay frozen until you deliver your first water contract, so take your time. Skip Tutorial still skips the intro, and the guides can be switched off in the New Game setup.
Guides That Follow You Out
A short guide box now appears the first time you meet something new, points at the part of the screen that matters, and steps aside on its own if you are busy. Mining sites, ordering from Earth, refineries, storage, power, heating, spare parts, crew stress, the Research Lab.
A Voice From the Desk
The Chief has a lot more to say. The text on your screen tells you what to do, and he tells you why it matters and what it costs if you get it wrong.
What Comes Next
We are already deep in the next one. A new system is coming for the star base, and it changes what you actually do up there. It is not ready to show yet, so keep your comms open.
You Make This Possible 💖
Thank you, as always, for the bug reports, the suggestions, and the long Discord threads that run well past midnight. You have been telling us the same thing for a while now, patiently, in a lot of different words, and this update is us finally listening properly.
Every line in the changelog below started with somebody pressing F8, or writing a post, or saying in a thread that the opening was too much at once. None of it gets found without you, and none of it gets fixed without you telling us. Thank you for sticking with the game while we get it right.
And as always, the best way to help is to press F8 in game to send us bugs and feedback.
See you on the surface, The Possible One Team
Version 0.7.05.0109 Changelog
A New Guided Start
The opening of the game is rebuilt as a guided run that ends at your first fulfilled contract. Guided placement of your first Corridor, Habitat and Scout Bay on marked ground, buildings and menus that open as the run reaches them, live highlights on the real buttons, and a grace window where crew hunger, stress and rotation stay frozen until the run is over.
Guides and Narration
New guide boxes across the game, each with a Next button, appearing the first time you meet something and stepping aside on their own if you are busy. New guidance for mining sites, truck parking, ordering from Earth, refineries, storage, power, heating, spare parts, crew stress and the Research Lab. New narration from the Chief through the guided start and beyond.
Missions and Guides
The mission card now opens expanded, so your first sub mission is visible without a click.
Fixed the Research Lab mission appearing before Phase 2.
Updated the tutorial videos to show the correct buttons.
Construction buttons no longer show a New badge during first parts of the game.
Fixes
Fixed a critical bug where all vehicles would stop moving when you order a space ship.
The Scouting Pioneer event no longer fires on day one. It now waits until your operation has had time to grow.
Ambient crew chatter no longer plays while the game is paused.
The Events card no longer opens five rows tall when it holds a single event.
The bottom bar no longer disappears after you visit Star View and open the pause menu.
The Earthside hire buttons now show the current division icons.
Old save warnings are now a single clear prompt that lists every change your save predates.
