addedHello Industrialists and Astronauts!This week's update is live now. The headline is a big one for your crew, your astronauts now step outside and walk the lunar surface, and new Commanders get a smoother first hour on the Moon . Here is what is new, with the full changelog below.
addedYour Astronauts Step OutsideYour astronauts no longer simply appear at their posts. With the new EVA system they suit up and walk the regolith, with fresh moon walk animations, dust kicking up behind their boots, and a much clearer presence on the surface. EVA paths now connect the buildings they work, an EVA indicator helps you follow your crew, and they keep their footing, walking in place, even while the game is paused.
addedA Smoother Start for New CommandersWe have improved the tutorial with more text and clearer explanations, along with new tutorial guides, so new Commanders always understand the next step. Whether you are starting a fresh colony or pointing a friend toward their first, the first hour on the Moon is clearer than ever.

Astronaut EVA

Astronauts now go outside and walk the surface to operate the buildings they are assigned to, with new moon walk animations, EVA paths between structures, and an on surface indicator to follow your crew.

Tutorial

The tutorial now has more text and clearer explanations, along with new tutorial guides to walk new Commanders through the early game.

Astronauts and Vehicles

  • Fixed astronaut position inside their stations across multiple locations.

  • Fixed vehicle bay cargo handling.

  • Space ships now slow down on approach.

  • Fixed Scout Bay and Vehicle Garage issues.

  • Fixed the Hauler not delivering when no astronaut was present in the outpost, which created a soft lock.

Construction and Demolition

  • Fixed Crossbridge demolition.

Graphics

  • Fixed Silicon Fabricator scale.

  • Fixed the Reactor material.

  • Fixed the Scout Bay material.
