We are putting it in your hands first as an opt in beta, so you can test it and help us shape it before it ships to everyone. Here is what is new, how to switch it on, and how to tell us what you think.

The New Astronaut System

Your astronauts stop being headcount and become a crew you grow, rotate, and look after. They have divisions, skills, and a life back on Earth between tours. Running a healthy base now means running a healthy crew.

Specialized Divisions

Every astronaut belongs to a crew division with a core role and advanced jobs they can train into. Build the team your operation actually needs.

The Rotation Loop

Each astronaut runs on a Rotation Timer. Out on the Moon it counts down. Bring them home to Earth and they rest and recover while it climbs back up. Let it run out on the surface and they retire for good, so keeping your crew rotating becomes part of the job.

Earthside Operations

A new Earthside hub where you hire, rest, and heal your crew, train them up, and load the next shuttle down to the lunar surface.

The Upgrade Tree

A per astronaut skill tree. Spend hard earned skill points to specialize into an advanced job, unlock permanent perks, or cross train as a backup in another division. Points are scarce on purpose. Go deep, or go wide.

Crew Management Hub

One screen to oversee your entire roster, assignments, rotations, and the next shuttle manifest, all at a glance.

A New Construction Grid

Build mode gets a reworked construction grid with a fresh look, a big change to how you plan and place across the colony. Put it through its paces as you expand your base on the beta.

How to Join the Beta

The update is going out first on an opt in beta branch. Joining takes a few seconds and needs no password.

  • Open your Steam Library and right click Possible One.

  • Choose Properties, then the Betas tab.

  • In the Beta Participation dropdown, select the 'beta-tester' branch. No access code is needed.

  • Close the window and let Steam update the game. When it finishes, you are on the beta.

To go back to the normal version at any time, return to that same dropdown and choose None.

This is a Beta Test

This branch is exactly that, a test. The Astronaut System is a large new system, so expect rough edges, art that is still in progress, and balance that is still settling. That is the point of the beta. It lets us catch issues in real play and fix them fast. We recommend keeping a separate save while you are on the branch, and please do not treat beta saves as final.

New Astronaut System

Your astronauts become a crew you grow, rotate, and look after, with specialized divisions, a rotation loop between the Moon and Earth, an Earthside hub to hire, rest, and train them, and a per astronaut upgrade tree.

New Construction Grid

A reworked build mode construction grid with a new look, a change to how you lay out and place across the colony.

Vehicles and Logistics

  • Fixed a rogue water delivery issue.

UI and HUD

  • Fixed the shipment background flicker.

  • Fixed some tooltip positions in the main HUD.

  • Fixed the in ship status badge.

  • Fixed several text issues.
