We've returned from the convention circuit with a heap of in-person playtest feedback! This update is our first major step towards improving player quality-of-life, with more improvements to come alongside the next couple of patches.
Major Changes
Replaced M.A.T.E scanner job line with the Codex
Added descriptive error messages for many important actions
Added function key shortcuts (F1-F3) to pilot the drone in each mode
The Q key now leaves your M.A.T.E., in addition to entering it
Changed Seed/Protato Plant action key from Right Mouse to Left Mouse
Added Health bars for damaged Landmarks
Changed the Low Gravity effect of a Geode to linger after destroying its Dark Amber
Polish the player inventory
Made the difference between the Action Bar and Backpack more obvious
Shows (in small form) what's in the Backpack while it's closed
Made the Action Bar selection highlight more obvious
Automatically places non-interactive items (mostly Materials) in the Backpack rather than the Action Bar
Hidden subtractive inventory notifications
Minor Changes
Fixed being able to claim job rewards while piloting the M.A.T.E.
Fixed being able to scan the M.A.T.E.
Improved scan results for the player and the Tractormech
Increased Tractormech maximum health (100->1200)
Renamed gatherable Wood to Bonebark Branch
Removed the "Fix Your Ride" job
Added Corruption attribute to the Dark Amber/Coffer/Core
Fixed Dynamite Throw having extreme gravity
Increased the amount of Dynamite it takes to destroy a Cracked Boulder or a Geode Dome (but not the amount of TNT)
Increased dropped item lifespan (1min -> 5min)
Delayed dialogue timers by 3 seconds so they don't ruin the mood
