Transmission Received Designation: Ol' Gal Sector: Unknown G'day. Is this darn thing on? Bugger, it's blinking. Let's give that another go. M.A.T.E, from the start please. G'day. This is Ol' Gal, writing in from Perdition. Long time reader, love your stuff. First time writer though. Well, dictator. As in I'm dictating, not a dictator. Blast it, again please M.A.T.E. G'day. This is Ol' Gal, from Perdition. I'm writing in about Darkhounds. They're everywhere, you see - on Perdition I mean, of course you don't know what a Darkhound is. Why is this so bloody hard? Again, M.A.T.E. G'day. I'm Ol' Gal and I've got a problem with Darkhounds. That's like a big, mean dingo if you stuck purple crystals all over it. They don't smell too great either but then they probably can't run a bath, water being so scarce and all. Plus they got no hands. M.A.T.E! G'day. Ol' Gal here and is that smoke? My cookies!
Closed Beta
We're super excited to announce the Closed Beta for Planetation! It represents a huge leap forward from the Alpha of the past, and we can't wait to hear what you think. Over the next three weeks we'll be sending out invites, so head on over to our Discord server to join in the fun!
Major Features
Jobs
Now, when you complete a designated task such as building the Autobarn or stabilising a Geneseed, you'll be given a variety of rewards - usually Dollarweed Seed Bags alongside some currently relevant materials or items.
Farming
We've extended the farming system with the addition of the Farm Plot, a building that tills the surrounding ground with nice convenient rows for you to plant your crops. We've also added the Watering Cannon, a watergun that makes watering your crops extra violent, as well as cool new ways to gather and carry water (the Groundwater Pump and Jerrycan). Finally, handy status indicators will appear over nearby crops so you can check on their growth at a glance.
Geneseeds
Sick of growing normal stuff like explosive mushrooms and literal money? Then it's time to grow Iron! Geneseeds are otherwise-unremarkable objects that have slowly stewed in the fetid blood of Alluvian for years, corrupting and changing them. Find an Iron Geneseed out in the wild, then bring it back to your Genehouse to clean off that gunk so that you can grow it. Be careful though, Alluvian does not easily let go that which he has taken.
Biome Regions
Biomes are now split into thematic sub-biomes called "Regions". To begin with there are three Regions within the Outback and one in the Mesa, but we intend to extend this system greatly in the coming months.
M.A.T.E.
Manufacture. Assemble. Terraform. Exterminate. The M.A.T.E is everything you might want in a trusty robot companion! You can launch this hoverdrone at any time, and use it to explore or to build your biggest structures.

Why walk places when you can fly, and possibly explode?
