addedThis week, we kept our momentum going by deeply focusing on refining the core game loops, expanding player options, and squashing some nasty bugs. Our main goal lately has been to introduce mechanics that give you more control over your resources during hectic moments, while also adding high energy modifiers that completely change the pace of your runs. We are making sure the late game experience feels just as responsive, rewarding, and chaotic as the early layers.
addedNew Stuff & MechanicsYou can now upgrade the expiration timer of dropped resources! This means mined materials will linger on screen much longer, giving you plenty of breathing room to collect them before they vanish.
addedNew Stuff & MechanicsAdded a brand-new comet variant that doubles the attack speed of all your ships for a limited time. As with the others, its spawn chance and buff duration are fully upgradable. We call it "Speed Comet".
addedNew Stuff & MechanicsAdded another powerful comet type that multiplies the critical hit chance of all your ships by 5x for a limited duration. Its spawn chance and effect duration can also be upgraded to maximize your burst damage. It's called "Critical Comet".
fixedNew Stuff & MechanicsWe tracked down and completely fixed a critical bug that occurred in the later stages of the game, which would break the upgrade tree and render it completely unusable.

Hi everyone!

This week, we kept our momentum going by deeply focusing on refining the core game loops, expanding player options, and squashing some nasty bugs. Our main goal lately has been to introduce mechanics that give you more control over your resources during hectic moments, while also adding high energy modifiers that completely change the pace of your runs. We are making sure the late game experience feels just as responsive, rewarding, and chaotic as the early layers.

Here is a look at what we’ve done this week:

New Stuff & Mechanics

  • You can now upgrade the expiration timer of dropped resources! This means mined materials will linger on screen much longer, giving you plenty of breathing room to collect them before they vanish.

  • Added a brand-new comet variant that doubles the attack speed of all your ships for a limited time. As with the others, its spawn chance and buff duration are fully upgradable. We call it "Speed Comet".

  • Added another powerful comet type that multiplies the critical hit chance of all your ships by 5x for a limited duration. Its spawn chance and effect duration can also be upgraded to maximize your burst damage. It's called "Critical Comet".

  • We tracked down and completely fixed a critical bug that occurred in the later stages of the game, which would break the upgrade tree and render it completely unusable.

We're cooking comething as you can see here... We'll let you know when it is done!

What's Next?

Next week, we’ll keep our heads down and continue implementing new mechanics and content just like this week. I can't wait to share the next batch of features we cook up!

If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us with visibility and keeps the momentum going!

Thanks for following our journey. See you next time!
