Just pushed a brand-new update featuring a couple of highly requested Rebirth shop upgrades to boost your campaign progress, a new anti-shuffling gold penalty to keep singleplayer gameplay engaging, and some long-overdue menu navigation QOL fixes. Here’s the rundown:
added💎 New Rebirth Shop Upgrades
changedRoyal Treasury (Gold Carry-over): Keep a portion of your hard-earned gold when rebirthing! Each upgrade level lets you carry over 5% of your current gold (up to 25% max at level 5) to kickstart your next run.
changedKing's Guard (Starting Shield): Protect your White King in campaign mode! The King now starts each round with a temporary shield equal to 10% of its max HP per level (up to 50% max at level 5). The shield absorbs incoming attack damage first and displays as a sleek cyan bar overlay on top of the health bar.
changedMatchmaking Search Cancellation: Cancelling a Casual, Ranked, or Friend lobby search now returns you directly to the Multiplayer Mode Selection Menu instead of dumping you back to the Main Menu.

🚫 Anti-Shuffling Repetition Gold Penalty To encourage diverse strategies and discourage repetitive farming:

  • Moving the same piece back-and-forth consecutively now incurs a Gold Per Move (GPM) penalty:

  • First repeat (A -> B -> A): Earn 50% less gold.

  • Subsequent repeats (A -> B -> A -> B): Earn 0 gold (shows +0 (SHUFFLED)).

  • The penalty resets instantly when you move a different piece or execute a capture.

⚙️ Multiplayer & Practice Menu QOL Navigation Navigating the lobbies and practice modes is now much smoother:

  • Matchmaking Search Cancellation: Cancelling a Casual, Ranked, or Friend lobby search now returns you directly to the Multiplayer Mode Selection Menu instead of dumping you back to the Main Menu.

  • Practice vs AI Quit Flow: Clicking BACK on the practice color selection modal or quitting an active Practice vs AI game now returns you directly to the Multiplayer Mode Selection Menu instead of the Main Menu.
