changedAhoy Pirate! In the last devlog, we wrote about the so-called POIs (Point of Interest) that symbolise important gameplay elements in the exploration view. Today we want to tell you a little more about ports and sectors. The game map itself is divided into sectors that the player will travel in. Each sector will have a specific Tier, and on this basis the player will be able to decide whether he wants to go there. The higher the tier, the game becomes more difficult and the more demanding the challenges are, but also the greater the reward. Below, you can see the boundaries of the different sectors.
changedWithin each sector, apart from the POIs presented in the previous post, the player will be able to visit ports and use their benefits. In the following, we will discuss the first batch of buildings that may appear in a given port. The number of functional buildings there are in a port can vary from sector to sector, and it is impossible to be sure until a given port is discovered. Now let us get into details of the first set of port buildings. Tavern
addedThe tavern is a building that we visit to look for new sailors who will join our crew for a certain fee and the promise of treasures. After reaching the port and selecting the Tavern, the player can choose one of the 3 available crew members. After a while, new sailors can be found in the Tavern, so be sure to visit it after a while. Market
changedThis is a building that allows you to trade with a given port. Each port buys and sells up to three different goods. It is worth checking the cost of raw materials in each port you visit because from time to time the needs of the city may change and thus the cost of purchase and sale can change significantly. A good captain always checks prices and can make a fortune by carefully planning the transport of raw materials from one place to another. Shipyard
changedDuring sea battles and boarding combat, the integrity of the ship can often be damaged. Then you need to dock at port and ask experienced shipwrights to repair it. More information about ports and its buildings we will introduce a little bit later. Meanwhile, remember to follow us on social media and join our discord server!
