Ahoy fellow Pinball Lovers!
Thanks for all the great feedback! While we're nearing the completion of Update 6, we got another load of improvements that can't wait. Highlights are enhanced physics accuracy and revised flipper dynamics, better nudge and tilt handling, and many, many smaller fixes.
Update 5.3 - The Physics Nudge - Patch Notes
massive improvements to physics accuracy and flipper dynamics -> grippier & bouncier
balancing: Bang Back / Death Save protection: nudging if a ball is in a lower outlane will regularly result in an instant warning and death saves are a bit more difficult to pull off
balancing: digital left/right nudges are a bit softer now. You can no longer nudge if the table is in TILT! state.
balancing: Extra Balls per game are now limited to 10 in the 5 Ball game. The 3 Ball game is unchanged at max 12 Extra Balls per game.
balancing: Extra Ball Lit now vanishes on ball end
- fixadded debounce to the TILT! warning sensor which fixes a possible instant TILT! on a single hard nudge
fixed: ball does not come to rest on an activated flipper
fixed: the ball could get stuck on the beginning of the crow wire ramp
fixed: flickering lamp post lights on experimental Low Rendering
fixed: The Pirate Battle would not always start properly if the third ball is locked instantly after another mission ends
fixed: the game end stats displayed the current Pirate Battles count (same as lit letters) instead of the total count
fixed: in very rare cases a ball can fail to drain properly preventing the ball end in local hot seat mode
fixed: Ball can get stuck behind the skull if you manage to shoot around the mouth ramp and pillars during the Pirate Battle start
fixed: Ball can get stuck behind the right trap door / popup pirate
fixed: game end stats for Pirate battle would only show the values of the current cycle (e.g. 1-8, 9-16,...). This also allows the "We Arr Pirates!" achievement to work as intended.
fixed: characters could be hit after dying or during their mission end animation
changed Crow and Lighthouse insert light colors to orange
The Bell light now blinks when only one letter is left
regression fix: music fades out again instead of stopping instantly
added more sounds, voice overs and light shows
new: automatically pause the game if the game controller connection is lost
added informative message box instead of the default Low Level Fatal Error for the incompatible AMD legacy driver 15.7.1 (suggesting the AMD Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.2.1 for Non GCN Products). The legacy driver 15.7.1 will work in the 64bit executable which will be added in a later update.
removed some grime: the flippers look a bit cleaner now
