Patch Notes 1.0.8.22

  • updated to Unreal Engine 5

  • TSR Temporal Super Resolution to easily reach higher resolutions like 2K/4K or higher framerates

  • New music, legacy music will be selectable only if you bought the game during Early Access. This will be available again in a few days.

  • Enhanced Low-End RendererSignificant visual improvements for the low-end renderer, driven by the brand-new iPhone/iPad version
  • better AntiAliasing (TAA & TSR)

  • better performance

  • cabinet - multi screen support always available and yes, offline too

  • game launches now with DirectX 12 per default. The command line option -dx11 allows to explicitly start with DirectX 11

  • for older GPUs and IGPUS: you can launch with the command line option -OverallQuality=2 to directly start in the Performance Quality Level, or -OverallQuality=1 for Performance+

  • removed anti-cheat window title check

  • fixedBonus count in dmd now properly displays if the maximum bonus score is reached. Max bonus score increased to 999,999

Fixes and improvements during the beta phase

  • improved supporter pack glow ball materials for low and medium Material Quality Levels (dependent on Effect Quality setting) to better match the high quality variants and they now emit light on all settings

  • improved manual / instruction card

  • fixed: fullscreen resolution picker is now visible again

  • fixed: spinner coastal reef loop's lights trail the ball again

  • fixedsavegame filename is changed so it does not collide with the UE4 version. Due to binary changes of the savegame file format the local highscores will be reset.
  • fixed: overall quality graphics presets for medium and high, as well as default settings on first start

  • fixed: Medium / High lightmap causing unintended shadows on the playfield

  • fixedwhen changing RenderQuality to Performance now AntiAliasing is properly set to TAA and TSR settings are blocked as these are not available with this renderer
  • fixed: mode specific pure/action overrides in the Operator menu are now saved, and Wickedly Random option works properly now

  • fixed: settings - the default button now properly resets all values it's intended to
