Because of your support, we’re getting super close to **150,000** wishlists, helping ORMOD reach the *top 500 wishlisted globally*! This is the largest bump in wishlists over a single weekend since ORMOD was announced in late November! Just 4 months ago!! Over 1,200 new members have joined Discord over the weekend as well, so I’d like to offer a warm welcome to everyone! I’ve been working on ORMOD for over 5 years as a solo dev and it has been incredible meeting so many enthusiastic fans and new friends these past few months.

If you didn't get in this time around, don't worry! The first playtest had 300 invites, this playtest had 15,000 invites, and the next playtest will be absolutely MASSIVE!

35,000 Wishlists Over The Weekend!

Thank you so much to all of you for sharing ORMOD with your friends, being excited for the playtest, & getting involved with the community! Because of your support, we’re getting super close to **150,000** wishlists, helping ORMOD reach the *top 500 wishlisted globally*! This is the largest bump in wishlists over a single weekend since ORMOD was announced in late November! Just 4 months ago!! I’ve been working on ORMOD for over 5 years as a solo dev and it has been incredible meeting so many enthusiastic fans and new friends these past few months.

We had about 8,000 out of 15,000 invited people try the playtest over the weekend, resulting in an incredible amount of feedback so far! Many playtesters spent dozens of hours in ORMOD over the weekend, creating some amazing bases, having big fights, raids, exploring, & taking down mechanoids! This playtest was huge compared to the first one, with just 300 playtesters.

Development Plans!

We have been reading ALL of the feedback given by everyone & have an extremely clear direction to move everything. The main issues I will be addressing first include:

  • Tutorial systems

  • Difficulty surviving

  • Game progression balancing

  • New inventory system improvements

  • Lots of polishing

  • Adjusting night brightness & stealth mechanics

  • Significantly optimizing the game & servers

  • Adding new items & more!

Expanding Operations!

As the community grows, so does the ORMOD team! It’s clear I need more support so I can focus on development! Expect to see some more people being brought onto the ORMOD team in the near future.

Next Playtest!!!

The next playtest will take place in around 4-6 weeks. This gives me some time to implement the above updates & polish, as well as server improvements to handle an increased player count. I appreciate your patience! Don’t forget I’m just one dev!

The exact date of the next playtest will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime… keep an eye out for the opportunity to vote on what should be included in the next playtest!

Feedback Always Welcome!

Aside from giving you a taste of what ORMOD has to offer, the primary goal of these playtests is to gather player feedback. If you haven't already, please provide as much feedback as you'd like on Discord in the #bug-reports & #playtest-feedback channels.

We also have an official feedback form if anyone wants to help provide some general feedback on how everything went! We read EVERYTHING!
