changedMain Story and Gameplay SnippetsFortunately I have been making progress with the main story and would estimate that it is about ~90% complete at this point. On a personal note, I took a step down from some of my job responsibilities to invest more time and focus on game development. As a result, I'm tearing through a lot of the content (some optional) leading up to the final dungeon.

Hope you all are enjoying the summer (or winter for those of you down under). I have some mixed news to share for this devlog update. And to keep with the habit, I'll include some of the latest snippets of work I've done over the last month.

Kickstarter/Demo Delayed ːsteamfacepalmː

I was a little overly optimistic about the timeline launch for both of these. I'm now aiming for next month, but it's unfortunately out of my hands to an extent. You see, one of our artist has some personal issues that's preventing a certain piece from being completed. Otherwise the demo and Kickstarter page are ready to go, but without that last piece I'd be launching something that's 99% ready which doesn't sit right with me. Frankly I don't know how AAA titles do it (shots fired).

So until that last piece is finished, we'll just need to sit tight. I would, however, appreciate any additional Kickstarter pre-launch follows!

A Wild [Composer] Has Appeared!

As a solo developer you're regularly approached by individuals interested in collaboration. I've had a few composers contact me over the years, and have really wanted to start work on an OST with them, but knew that I had to cover the artwork first.

Now that the Kickstarter is a real thing, I've been narrowing it down to two composers I'd really like to work with, and have been in contact with both of them.

The first is YouFulca, an exceptional composer who has been creating professional JRPG music for over a decade. We hope to add him to the team, provided that the Kickstarter funding goal is met! He will be focusing on battle and boss soundtracks for the OST.

The second is Thomas J. Peters who has composed some wonderful soundtracks for other indie games such as the JRPG Numina. Like YouFulca, we hope to add him to the team! He will be focusing on town, field, and event soundtracks for the OST.

Provided that we don't reach our Kickstarter goal, I will try to scrounge up a little to afford at least 1 or 2 songs from these talented composers.

Main Story and Gameplay Snippets

Fortunately I have been making progress with the main story and would estimate that it is about ~90% complete at this point. On a personal note, I took a step down from some of my job responsibilities to invest more time and focus on game development. As a result, I'm tearing through a lot of the content (some optional) leading up to the final dungeon.
