changedThanks for checking out the latest ONE FENIX DOWN bi-monthly dev log. I'm a little early for this one as I wanted to share some exciting news -- we're launching a Kickstarter campaign later this year! And as part of that, we'll release our (likely) final demo of ONE FENIX DOWN on Steam! You can read more about these down below. I've also included some gameplay snippets of work I've done over the last month.
changedKickstarter! Also previously mentioned, ONE FENIX DOWN is pretty far into development and has been a self-sufficient project/hobby thus far. So why turn to Kickstarter now? Well, there were a few elements that I would have loved to enhance but were outside of my budget, such as having an original soundtrack and gorgeous pixel art backdrops for certain scenes. For this reason the team has decided to try a small Kickstarter campaign so we can aim for a more polished release.
changedUpcoming DemoThose who've been following ONE FENIX DOWN on Twitter and itch.io may already know that we had an earlier demo release just last year. It was a ~30 minute slice of gameplay elements, as well as showcasing the canon story with a prologue that won't be in the main game.
addedUpcoming DemoThe Steam demo will be much like this one, but with some enhancements including final artwork (16-bit sprites), a new UI, and some rework to combat. For the majority of you who haven't played it, I think you'll be in for a treat! Most people seem to really enjoy it even as a standalone story.

Kickstarter!

As mentioned in the last update, I've decided to go ahead and create a Kickstarter page. My intention is to launch this late spring/early summer provided that the final demo will be available. Although it's still a few months away, I would greatly appreciate any pre-launch follows on the page below.

I'll share an update next time on a hopefully more concrete date for the demo's release.
