Omen changes
Omen will be featured in Steam Next Fest starting June 15th! This is an important milestone for us. Please make sure to leave a review on our Demo Store Page, it helps a ton!
A new demo update dropped earlier this week that includes:
More points of interests in levels: All demo regions now have more content, loot, and enemies.
Balancing: Weapon damage, power usage, and build requirements have all be modified. My goal is to make the player think more strategically while in a fight in terms of what weapon you use and what enemy you target first.
Difficulty Settings: Players can now reduce or increase the difficulty with a few different settings. Check these out and let us know what you think!
- Enemy BehaviorEnemy movement has been improved and feels even better to fight against. Enemies also use their utility items more appropriately.
Alert System Changes: Whenever you extract from an enemy region, the alert level increases. This will now reduce the time before reinforcements arrive instead of introducing more regular enemies.
Environment Scaling Changes: Our artist wants us to try out larger structures so they feel more like megastructures.
- HUD ScalingNew setting that allows for decreasing or increasing the scale of the user interface. If you have a Steam Deck, let us know if this helps!
Recon Drones: You'll now encounter these drones roaming regions keeping an eye out for you. Kill them before they call in reinforcements.
Outposts: These are heavily armed stations that you can destroy. Each faction has their own outpost with different defenses. If you manage to destroy one, they drop rare loot and also reset the alert level of a region.
Some other changes
Wreck radar icon now disappears after you pick everything up
You get the default loadout on death now
Some items are persisted when changing ship hulls
Otherwise, lots of progress was made on the second half of the game and our focus will soon switch to balancing and polishing the game. Play the demo and lets us know what you think by dropping by on Discord or by leaving a review here on Steam.
Check out our new gameplay trailer too!
