Please start a new game if you have an existing save!
New Features
- CutscenesOur biggest ask besides controller support was to let people control cutscene dialogue. You now control the pace of cutscenes by clicking through it. They've also been redone with new content!
Craftable Ships: In the hangar you can now craft and equip ships hulls that you unlock from quests or through scavenging.
Randomized Weather: When you enter a region there's a chance for some different weather events to happen including asteroids, explosive gas clouds, and plasma storms. You may also encounter rare anomalies from The Veil (they're really dangerous).
Remastered Tutorial: The opening of the game was way too sleepy and the tutorial went on for too long. We want people to get into the main gameflow as fast as possible.
UI Redesign: Some updates around text to make it more readable. The ship UI has also been redesigned completely so it's not really bad and terrible looking.
New Explosion SFX: BOOM!
New Reinforcement Fleet Ship Models
Fixes
Fixed issue with pause menu buttons being hard to click.
Fixed fuel tanks not exploding from some player bullets.
Fixes for ultrawide monitors.
Fixes for window mode.
Known Issues
We're looking into lighting issues in the player base, it's worse on ultra wide monitors.
The engine scram and player engine SFX may cut out sometimes.
I'll be writing up a blog post about the second act of the game soon, but PLEASE give us your feedback on the demo in the Steam forums or on Discord! Look for another big demo update next month too.
