Redesigning Upgrades

We have been taking a long hard look at how we do upgrades and made some changes that will add a lot more complex decision making. Upgrades now have a bug percentage chance which makes the game harder in different ways.

addedWe have been taking a long hard look at how we do upgrades and made some changes that will add a lot more complex decision making. Upgrades now have a bug percentage chance which makes the game harder in different ways. This could make the player bigger, pixelate the world, or make the aliens harder to kill. As you progress through waves and add more upgrades, the chances of getting a bug or bugs with an upgrade increases.

removedTimed - The upgrade lasts for a specific amount of time (or until you escape the planet) Drop - Keep the upgrade for the length of the drop. Is removed on escape. Persist - Keep the upgrade between drops until you die
addedBug Chance Number of bugs that may be added. Percentage chance of getting that bug/ bugs
changedTimed upgrades now display on the top left corner of the screen so you know what upgrade is running and how much time they have left.

Timed upgrades now display on the top left corner of the screen so you know what upgrade is running and how much time they have left.

We’ve added a considerable number of upgrades bringing our total upgrades to 70. This includes some crazy timed upgrades that make your weapons overpowered for a short period of time.
