changedMinor Bug Fix:Gun unable to reload: If you purchased a gun at the store, it wasn't letting you reload.
fixedMinor Bug Fix:Health Pack: All instances of the Health Pack were sharing information, making the second one you purchased (and all the ones after) useless. It's been fixed and now they have their own data.
changedChanges:Crouch Input: We changed the default key bind for crouching to "C". "Control" is now unassigned.
addedChanges:In run store: We discussed how the store was presented in a run, and got to the conclusion that it was not standing out, blending with the environment. So we went back to the drawing board and changed it, completely. New asset, new animation, new way of purchasing upgrades. We hope you like this new version!
changedChanges:Scrap spawn system: It was updated to work closer to our final vision. Making it spawn scrap more spread and less concentrated in a single room.
addedChanges:End of level info: We added information of how the level was completed (bonus income, enemy difficulty, deaths, etc) and what changes if you chose to keep going or what you earn if you choose to leave.

Howdy Collectors!

It's been a while since our last patch. This time we wanted to change how the first level presents itself. Focusing on how to let the player know what to do.

Minor Bug Fix:

  • Gun unable to reload: If you purchased a gun at the store, it wasn't letting you reload.

  • Health PackAll instances of the Health Pack were sharing information, making the second one you purchased (and all the ones after) useless. It's been fixed and now they have their own data.

Changes:

  • Crouch InputWe changed the default key bind for crouching to "C". "Control" is now unassigned.
  • First level designThe first level of each run (and the only available in the demo) has been modified, we are aiming to achieve better clarity on what to do the first time yo delve into a district.
  • In run storeWe discussed how the store was presented in a run, and got to the conclusion that it was not standing out, blending with the environment. So we went back to the drawing board and changed it, completely. New asset, new animation, new way of purchasing upgrades. We hope you like this new version!
  • Scrap spawn systemIt was updated to work closer to our final vision. Making it spawn scrap more spread and less concentrated in a single room.
  • End of level infoWe added information of how the level was completed (bonus income, enemy difficulty, deaths, etc) and what changes if you chose to keep going or what you earn if you choose to leave.
  • Blackout ImprovedSome lights weren't turning off, that's been fixed. The BCR machine reacts to the blackout now.
  • TutorialIt has been disabled, since we've made some substantial changes to the game loop and we need to implement them in the tutorial yet.
  • No more Nude CorpsesWe have removed nudity. While we didn't care about it, Steam nudity tag includes sexual content, which we don't have.

Known Issues:

  • Toggle crouch isn't working as intended.

  • Lore Ipsum: Lobby door tags is misbehaving, showing default text sometimes, changing host name for a guest name too.

This is it, for now. We will keep working hard on improving the game. We hope you find this changes more appealing!

Best regards, BrokenQuill Studios :)
