The demo is finally back!
It is very close to the full version of the game, with only few limitations:
The max day is 350, meaning you can mostly play early-mid game content in campaign
No MacOS support (only Linux + Windows)
No Steam achievements
No Steam workshop integration
Both last points are more like a technical limitation of Steam API - demo and the game itself considered to be different apps, so it is almost impossible to make those two features work seamlessly.
Other than that, it's a large enough game chunk that can give you a good estimation whether this game is for you or not. Depending on your play style and whether you are rushing or not, it can take 4-10 hours to "beat" the demo (because you might want to do several runs anyway, tinker with the programming aspect of the game, etc.)
The demo is a bit rough around the edges. For instance, your demo saves will not be transferred to the full game, unless you manually do so by copying the save_data folder. I may address that later if I figure out a good solution. But for now, I guess this kind of demo is better than none.
This demo also comes along with a minor patch to both versions of the game. I am planning to keep the demo updated.
