Good news, everyone!
New trailer and demo release on Oct 6
Firstly: the demo release is confirmed for Oct 6 to coincide with the start of Finnish Games Week '25.
The demo is packed with cool stuff:
Quick 10-minute tutorial chapter
Chapters 1 and 2 from the full game
Seven postcard locations and three characters from the full game
Extensive Tokyo train network covering 150+ years of Japanese railways
Endless mode where you can replay Chapter 2 with new characters, locations, and clues
To celebrate this, there is a new trailer which incorporates a lot of the new features and graphical upgrades over the last couple of months, so be sure to check that out if you have a minute.
Playtest is rolling out!
Secondly: In preparation for the demo, the playtest is now open!
Thank you to everyone who has already signed up for the playtest. There's still plenty of time to take part in the playtest if you don't want to wait for the demo: you can register your interest with the Request Access button on the store page for Mysteries of Old Tokyo. I'll gradually add more and more playtesters from the queue over time.
Some lucky playtesters will have already received access so please enjoy! Don't forget to send feedback if you come across a bug or something strange.
That's everything for now. See you in October, and if you haven't already, don't forget to wishlist the game!
