Combat & Balance

Blocking

  • Block has been reworked to be percentage-based rather than a flat value. Block rating now directly scales how much incoming damage is absorbed, and applies after resistances.

  • Blocking damage now reduces your stamina by 50% of the damage blocked.

  • Fixed an exploit where spamming block could allow energy to regenerate while blocking.

  • Block now supports elemental damage types.

Enemy Threat & Aggro

  • Enemies now have a significantly improved threat/aggro system. NPCs better track multiple threats and won't just laser-focus on one player in all situations.

  • Stunning an enemy now resets their threat, causing them to more aggressively prioritize whoever triggered the stun.

  • Bosses will no longer lose track of you entirely after you put some distance between you.

  • Enemies won't immediately target you just for making noise nearby if you're not already on their radar.

Weapons & Abilities

  • Heavy punch has been sped up.

  • 2H Staff heavy attack windup has been significantly reduced.

  • Unarmed melee reach has been extended.

  • Scrap Glaive and Mangrove Spear have been buffed.

  • Dusk disc shotgun damage reduced to match disc collision damage.

  • Shield block push and hammer block push lead-in reduced.

  • Added Taunt ability (obtainable when you unlock the Protochasm): costs 1 minor charge, forces nearby enemies to attack you and applies Sundered, increasing damage taken by 20%.

Perks & Items

  • Numbskull reworked: now reduces bonus damage received from crits to the head, rather than reducing damage to the head overall.

  • Fixed hits on high-damage zones not receiving the increased crit chance that other high-crit scenarios get.

  • Infused Parry Dagger now has 25% spirit block instead of spirit resist. Drop rate reduced.

  • Spark Bangle (new wrist item): grants the lightning dash perk and +4 energy.

  • Null Vessel (new necklace)new perk that increases physical damage by 1% per missing minor charge.
  • Fixed the poise break passive on the Breaker Necklace — it now correctly applies a 20% damage bonus when breaking poise with physical damage.

  • Critical strike charge regen perk buffed from 5% → 10% chance.

  • Mind of the Reclaimer minor charges buffed from 15 → 18.

  • Sequence Breaker available on the T2 Breaker MDrive works correctly again.

Armor

  • Green tier armor balance passraw physical resistance reduced overall. Most green armor now follows a baseline of ~3 armor and 1 specific physical resistance.
  • Mudcap Hat: lost 1 armor, gained 1 blunt resistance.

  • Stormguard Armor (new green & blue sets).

  • Mangrove Shield: now costs 8 small husks from the tutorial island vendor.

  • Vendor with armor shells: shield is now the most expensive option (prices swapped).

  • Spirit vulnerability has been reduced across most armor in the game.

World & Enemies

  • Starter crab fight is more lethal: roughly half the HP and deals slightly more damage.

  • Scrap patrol boss: resist values toned down.

  • Scrap rangerspoise reduced.
  • Enshugoo bubblerintegrity slightly reduced.
  • Armored Enshugoo slasherdamage greatly reduced (still dangerous).
  • Mangrove hunter T2 drop tablebest item drop rate reduced, added a 50% chance of nothing.
  • Lighthouse inheritor bug fixed: it can now continue to shoot at you after the first hit.

  • Lightning spear arena: enemy less likely to get stuck on the floor.

  • Water shamans now drop a guaranteed waterpot.

  • Mangrove spearmen no longer guarantee a fork spear drop (added to their loot table instead).

Green Body Part Expansion

We've felt that green body parts were out of place in the progression hierarchy. They were mostly concentrated in the bunker
