changedMiuratale Overhaul pt.4This part of the overhaul changes many things both narratively and mechanically. The original version of this section was made very last minute right before I released my Early-Access. As a result a few things simply weren't thought out yet. Story events were out of order, and you played as a random guest character, because Nara requires a set of melee attack animations, which were going to take time to make.
changedMiuratale Overhaul pt.4Nara is the Atla Princess and a major player across the events of the story, it was really important to give the player a chance to control her and get a feel for what her journey is like. Something I'd like to expand upon later on as well. Just like Cess she plays an important part in Miuratale, and now you can experience it.
addedMiuratale Overhaul pt.4Nara's melee attacks introduce some of the first real challenge to the game, not just for the player, but for me as well. I already have a list of important features I need to add, and tweak, when the first patch is released, such as the 'Ideal range' indicator that lets you know when you are in range to land attacks.
changedMiuratale Overhaul pt.4Nara is fairly fast, but you can lose a lot of health quickly if you dash in without baiting attacks from your opponent, and the first miniboss will punish reckless attacking. Learning to wait for your opening to attack is key to the entire game, so learning it early is important.

The next update is the big one, the prologue will be officially complete! After that we start on chapter 1 of 7, and hopefully by late Fall the game will be finished! Obviously anything can happen to slow that down but Miuratale is my sole focus right now and if I can keep up this pace it should be entirely possible to get the game done before the end of the year.
