Minimon: Tiny Idle Tactics changes
Demo Update: Epic Currency Drops, Auto-Equip, & QoL Overhaul!
Hey everyone! We are back with another huge update for the Minimon demo. This week, we focused heavily on smoothing out the player experience, removing frustrating restrictions, making wave rewards feel incredibly satisfying, and automating the tedious parts of inventory management.
Here is a breakdown of everything dropping in today's patch:
⚙️ Quality of Life & Menu Overhauls
Play Who You Want (Roster Decoupling): You no longer need to manually "equip" a Minimon to your Active Roster to play with them! For Raids, Endless Mode, Paths, and Adventures, you can now seamlessly select units directly from your entire collection.
The "Active Roster" Reimagined: The Active Roster is now strictly your dedicated passive buffing system. Slot your favorite Minimon in there to grant global stat boosts to your deployed fighting party! (Bug Fix: These passive buffs now correctly apply to your entire deployed duo mid-combat, rather than just the leader).
- Freedom of Game ModesWe’ve removed the restriction that required a Minimon to clear a Path before they could enter Endless or Raid modes. Jump right into the action! (Note: Raids still enforce their minimum level requirement for entry).
- Slick "Continue" OverlayReturning to the game feels better than ever. We've added a brand-new "Continue" overlay to the Main Menu that slides in to show exactly where you left off: complete with the game mode, wave number, and detailed, real-time portraits of your deployed party (displaying their current XP, levels, and gold multipliers).
✨ Visual Polish & Epic Currency Drops
- Physical EXP DropsExperience points are now physical currency! Defeating enemies will spawn bouncing EXP orbs that trigger our new physics system, flying across the arena directly into your Minimon's UI portraits. This perfectly visualizes the 50/50 shared EXP split when running a duo!
Boss Reward Splosions: Defeating a wave boss is about to feel a lot more rewarding. Bosses now burst with a massive shower of physical EXP and Gold that erupts directly from their defeated location rather than just appearing out of thin air.
- Dynamic Notification QueueWe’ve implemented a brand new, slick on-screen notification system. You’ll now get beautiful, non-overlapping pop-ups for events like "Wave Cleared," "Boss Defeated," "Level Up!," and when your idle Adventures are ready to claim. If a bunch of crazy things happen at once, they will neatly queue up so you never miss an alert.
🎒 Auto-Equip Systems
We want to keep you in the action, not stuck in menus. We've introduced a smart Auto-Equip system!
Instant Gear Power-Ups: If your primary Minimon has open item slots, newly acquired gear will automatically equip so you get the power spike immediately! (If they are full, it checks the rest of your Active Roster before safely placing the item in your inventory).
- Auto-Learned AbilitiesWhen your Minimon levels up and unlocks a new ability, it will automatically slot into an empty spot on their hotbar.
Instant Roster Buffs: Newly captured Minimon will automatically join your Active Roster if you have an open slot, immediately granting their passive buffs to your team.
Note: All of these automatic actions will trigger a quick on-screen notification (e.g., "Equipped Short Sword to Tinosaur!") so you always know exactly what happened.
⚖️ Balance & Difficulty Tweaks
Duo Scaling Adjustments: Rebalanced the overall game curve after you acquire your second Minimon to properly account for the shared EXP and Gold pools between your two deployed fighters.
Capture Event Hype: Minimon Capture Events have been heavily spiced up! Expect much more intense, hype battles featuring enemy creatures wielding 3 to 4 distinct skills.
- Streamlined Path RewardsDemo Paths have been fully rebalanced. We've removed confusing extra rewards and streamlined the system so that every single wave now directly grants both Gold and EXP.
Adventure Tuning: Smoothed out the early-game scaling for Adventures. You will generally want to send at least two Minimon to successfully push through the critical progression stages. We've also done a comprehensive balance pass on Adventure resistances, perks, curves, and reward multipliers.
