Mars Attracts changes
The latest hotfix for Mars Attracts has just gone live. While this one contains mostly boring behind the scenes stuff, we thought this would be a good time to share our plans for the more exciting updates we have planned for the coming months!
2026 Roadmap
We still have a number of big features we want to add to Mars Attracts over the coming months, as well as lots of smaller additions and tweaks based on your feedback.
Our next two updates to existing systems are planned for March and April/May.
Both of these updates will address frequent player concerns with elements of the game that just weren't that varied or interesting enough, adding deeper systems that should make Mars Attracts a lot more fun to play.
Following that, we have plans for a major update later in the summer that will add requested new features like Sandbox mode, Staff Training and Park Marketing, as well as adding a new map, new special character, and a new human enclosure type.
With all these new features, this may turn into several updates. But once we have implemented everything, we’ll be looking ahead to our 1.0 release! 🤯
Stay tuned for more news on that when we get a bit closer to the time.
Latest fixes
The latest patch includes a number of fixes to how we track errors and user feedback, giving us a more complete picture of some lingering issues that have proved tricky to diagnose.
Steam post imageThis is mostly behind the scenes stuff that won’t affect your gameplay experience, but we have also tweaked the feedback form to provide us with more complete information, so please keep your feedback coming!
We aim to respond to every report we receive, and the process of addressing issues as they arise is ongoing.
Other fixes
Repaired an issue where water and electricity stopped working when a building along their circuit was deleted
Added a fix for unhappiness icons sometimes remaining onscreen after an unhappy human was killed
Assigning porters to expedition center now correctly applies their traits to expeditions
Changing expedition urgency now actually costs the correct amount
Added a fix for optional objectives not tracking correctly
To share your thoughts on the direction of Mars Attracts, please join us on our very friendly Discord.
Our community has directly impacted our Early Access roadmap, and we aim to keep this going as we approach 1.0 release.
Love,
Bernard & the Outlier team
