MARKSMAN VR has been live for two days, and it has been an intense, emotional, and eye-opening journey for our 2-man team. We want to start by saying thank you to everyone who has jumped into the game and shared their honest thoughts.

Our Passion & Commitment: This is our very first release on Steam, and it is a project we have poured our hearts and souls into for a long time. Developing games isn't just a job for us; it’s a profound passion. We are gamers who love creating immersive experiences for others to enjoy. While both of us work full-time jobs, we have dedicated every spare hour, late night, and weekend to making MARKSMAN VR a reality. Our ultimate goal is to reach a point where creating experiences like this can become our full-time focus, and we are working tirelessly toward that future for Crimson Gate. This launch has been a steep learning curve, but every sacrifice we’ve made was driven by the desire to build an experience we can all be proud of.

We Are Listening: Addressing the Hurdles The feedback from the last 48 hours has been consistent, and we hear you loud and clear. Our two biggest priorities right now are fixing the Tutorial and improving Guidance throughout the game.

Our Roadmap We aren't just here for the launch; we are committed to the long-term growth of MARKSMAN VR. Here is our plan for the coming weeks:

Immediate Updates (v0.2.0 - Week 1):

  • New Tutorial System: Transitioning to interactive, hands-on guidance.

  • UI Guidance: Clear mission board markers and level navigation aids.

  • Weapon Rework: Converting initial rifles to Semi-Auto and fixing the bolt-action interaction for better flow.

  • Technical Fixes: Mandatory calibration at startup, iron sight visibility fixes, and master volume bug resolution.
