LithoBreak changes
Another full moon, another moonthly LithoBreak update.
This moonth, we rebuilt the foundation beneath LithoBreak.
The goal is one clear journey: wake inside the crashed Esperanza and begin building a first useful site.
This starts with a blockout, which we will flesh out into a full ship in the moonths to come. We have a first version of the tooling in development to let us build out the Esperanza and all the 60 plus pieces of planned equipment through the game. It is hard to convey just how important and impactful this tooling is, but it is a work multiplier that makes larger projects like LithoBreak possible.
Speaking of tools, we have also strengthened automated testing and moved it into our build workflow so fewer bugs make it through development. This saw the addition of the TauCetiBuildAgent that automates the testing and uploading builds to Steam.
The public Steam build has not changed with this post. Our next step is to turn this groundwork into something coherent enough to play, then share it when it is actually ready.
Follow LithoBreak here on Steam or join us on Discord if you want to follow the rebuild.
See you in the Verse. — Tau Ceti Labs
