LithoBreak changes
It's time for another Moonthly ™ update
This moonth brings a backend overhaul to a lot of systems, with some first fruit being an update to how the inventory works. We will be keeping the latest build on the experimental branch because the changes so far are not complete and things like the console aren't working yet. So read on for the first glimpse at the incoming changes or jump on the experimental branch to kick the tires on the inventory update.
I, Christian Moe, am going to confess personally here. Among my worst ideas as the lead developer of LithoBreak was the inventory quick slot system that would only allow 1-4 keys to be assigned and would get rearranged every time you dropped an item.
How annoying right? Who would have ever thought that was a good idea?
Well, me apparently. Sorry for that, but it is fixed now!
Now we have quick slots 1 through 0 that can all be assigned freely and won't get rearranged on you. Hovering over an item in the HexaHold UI also highlights where on the quick slot bar that items currently reside, in case there are duplicate types.
Under the hood, the whole system has seen a revamp, which includes changes like if you swap to holding your oxygen tank, it will actually disconnect and stop feeding you oxygen until you put it back, unlike how it magically transferred oxygen through your hands before. Progress!
Steam post image So that is it for this month, but the systems are quickly coming together to bring much more to the table in future updates.
Next moonth should see the return of the majority of the game, including the new ceramic press and batch furnace.
You might also notice that this post is a bit different than the past, because it is not AI generated and it won't be from this point forward. This has all been arduously typed up by hand by the team.
