Lifecraft changes
Hi everyone!
We’re back with some updates on the development, here’s what we’re currently working on:
PATHWAYS & DOCUMENTATION
We are upgrading the Pathways, adding more details that hopefully will help everyone getting the hang of the complex game interactions, from basics to more intricate systems.
Each system will have a pathway image explaining and linking to the more in depth documentation.
EXTRACELLULAR CIRCULATION
W’re also working on the extracellular circulatory system.
We are developing Heart Pumps and large vessels designed to transport massive quantities of materials between different extracellular zones. This infrastructure will be vital for managing resources as your organism grows larger and more complex.
INTRACELLULAR AND EXTRACELLULAR GAME SCALE
We are currently evaluating a potential change to the scale between the intracellular and extracellular layers. Our goal is to give greater weight and importance to both aspects of the game, ensuring that neither feels like a "mini-game" compared to the other.
We want both the internal cell management and the external tissue expansion to feel equally substantial.
TOOLTIP IMPROVEMENT AND INTERACTIVE TOOLTIPS
We're still actively working on the UI and tooltips, which are way more detailed, polished and interactive, other than pinnable.
Since we were reworking them we decided to do the extra mile: you won't just see detailed stats; you will be able to pick up and drop items directly inside the tooltip. This makes inventory management much faster and more intuitive. We will slowly extend this to allow to interact with buildings with a dialog, in addition to popup menu that has been available so far.
NATURAL PROGRESSION GATES
We are also evaluating the addition of new specific amino acids. The idea is to use these new compounds as "gates": you will need to unlock and synthesize them to produce higher-quality materials and structures. This would make the game's progression feel much more natural and stepped,
As always, thank you for your support and feedback.
Until next time, keep growing!
