HELLO EVERYONE!

Here we are to update you about upcoming updates for Lifecraft! We spent a lot of time implementing a flexible system to manage and let organism live inside and outside your organism. Things started little but during the way we understood it was necessary to have a proper goal-oriented AI system to manage what the cells will do and how they'll handle their priorities so the system itself became HUGE.

That's why at some point we changed our focus to start working on a very useful feature, both for us and both for you: a blueprint system together with library and a way to share the schematics beween players.

BLUEPRINT SYSTEM

The much requested blueprints system is coming! We plan to roll it out in the next 1-2 weeks on the nightly build. The first version will be available only on sandbox to be tested, then we'll add it to survival games too (which requires more work as bluepirnt must be built by diffusers!).

You will be able to save map selections as blueprints, save them into a library and share them between players and your other worlds. Blueprints can be rotated and flipped to suit any need!

We also added a special label plate structure used just to show an icon which can be a nice aesthetics touch to your blueprint (or worlds).

QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES We're also constantly working on QOL updates, especially on the constantly reviewed UI and microtubules determinism has been vastly improved, among with new picker mechanics. Also tweaks to Evolution view!

PATHWAYS UPDATE

We're integrating concepts like cellular expansion and stem tissue development in the Pathways, to help players understanding better what to do in the game.

ENDGAME UPDATES We feel like that lacking a goal makes the game feel more unfinished than it is, so we decided to implement a temporary "end-game" which can give players purpose.

This structure will reside in extracellular space for now but in the future the end-game itself will be tweaked as more subsystems (circulation, breathing) will be introduced so don't take this as final.

This, massive, hard to build "thing", gives the game an end-goal and a brand-new achievement!

HATCHING AND DEFENDING As we said in the beginning, a lot of progress has been made towards hemocyte hatching, the primordial immune cell gameplay loop that will introduce exploration and defense from pathogens in the early game. This infrastructure will be the same mechanics that will be used to produce red blood cells for circulation so it will be nice to have some feedback to help us balance everything.

GOALS AND ACHIEVEMENTS All of this will result in new goals and achievements being added to the game, making the experience more complete overall.

MUSIC TRACKS

In addition, a fresh music track is currently in the works, and we're exploring zone-specific tracks to enhance immersion.

We're eager to bring you these exciting new developments and will keep you updated as we approach release.

As always, thank you for your continuous feedback and support. Join us on Discord to discuss this update further!

Until next time, keep growing!
